Administrators gav240z Posted April 21, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 21, 2015 Hi Guys, Can anyone recommend a place to get panels dipped to remove rust in places that can't be easily accessed and primed at the same time to prevent surface rust etc..? I hear some people don't recommend acid dipping, so any suggestions on best way to handle this, I'm specifically looking at my rear hatch in this instance so feedback on best way to approach it is welcome. dat2kman
Very hard to get full penetration f the neutralising solution between the overlaps of double skin panels. Can cause issues.

zzzzed
As dat2k said. It may remove rust in and to reach places, but then cause rust in other areas such as over leaping panels. It will remove the rust preventing sealers and weld through primers that are applied from the factory letting moisture create new rust. If a sand blaster can't get at it then neither can the spray painter. SPT260
Administrators gav240z Posted September 24, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted September 24, 2019 Speaking with my panel beater teacher at Tafe he recommended Redistrip for my door. So I'm going to give it a try. Found this thread after having no luck on Google finding their website!
