So the purpose of this thread is to give people a place to post an engine number they are either looking for or have in their possession and then if anyone ever Google's that engine number it should show up in search results.

I'm starting this thread purely for selfish reasons as I'm looking for L24-015253 which belongs to HS30 000150

I recently came across:

L24-083642

L24-322254

L24-055011

On this eBay ad item number: 151273284442

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Engines-240Z-L24-Nissan-Datsun-N42-/151273284442

Seller: http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/stand21

If you've got any motors sitting around doing nothing and they are not original to your car, feel free to post the numbers in this thread. Likewise if you're looking for an engine number post it here also.

Who knows perhaps a few members will find their original motors under a dusty bench somewhere? Stranger things have happened.

I have the following L24 blocks:

L24 078080 - my original block for the 72 240z I have. Currently has an L28 in it (will need to verify number).

L24 175807 - from my 73 240z that is now owned by my_mad_z (http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=3849 on here).

L24 149285 is apparently with this seller.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ferntree-gully/engine-engine-parts-transmission/nissan-datun-240z-motor/1050823732

Judging by the number it could be an early 240z block. Seller said it was a Z block.

I've been meaning to post this for a while.

I have:

L28 - 636614

It's not been removed from the car never to go back in and is currently for sale, unfortunately I am several thousands of miles away from Australia, so this info may be pointless, but thought keeping a record of where these things are might be of some use.

I have just got another spare head and block for parts that will be up for sale early next year. I am pretty sure it came from the 1975 260z 2+2 shown in the pictures attached as that car was built and belonged to my mates fiancé dad.

The engine number is: L26 173838

Here are the details of the car I think its from (had L28 swap when sold with EFI).

VIN - GRS30005552

Engine number - L28 666036

Trans - 3 SP AUTOMATIC

I wouldn't mind actually knowing whats happened to the car just to let them know if anybody has any idea on it.

I have L24-077920.

I bought this engine in 1987.
I doubt that anyone is looking for it because it was fitted to a 1972 240Z that was shown in a few car magazines in the 1980's, before and after having a Chev 350 conversion.

I also have L24-189707 which is the original motor for my 9/73 240Z (HS30-103724).

Hi i have;L26-138476 in the car,

               L26-163678 and

               L28-765951 spare.

The car should have;

               L26-121070 in it.

Would love to find the original engine and will swap any of my blocks for it.

If i have anyones block please let me know, happy to work something out.

Can anyone tell me what the numbers stamped below the L-26 part might mean? The numbers are 1390.

Could this be the time it was rebuilt?as the numbers arent stamped as hard as the L-26.
