CAMS bulletin B013-037

Moratoruim until June 30 2013 on cars in competition needing to fit SFI45 roll bar padding.

For any competition below national level.

Ie, dont panic if you havent got the new stuff fitted. You now dont need it, yet.

But something is better than nothing

I got an email from NDSOC today at 2pm saying it's mandatory as per CAMS regs? Are they just not up to date.

Do you know why the sudden change Jason?

I've already blown 150 on this garbage, thanks for nothing CAMS!

I dont know how to post the link to the pdf on the CAMS website, it has just been published, and more than likely, many event organisers and scrutineers are unaware

Do a google search

CAMS bulletins

Hit the link, hit the link to the bulletin

It is the latest one,  B013-037.

There are a few peeved ff rally guys, as well as plenty of owners of Historic logbooked cars, that have raised a number of questions, hence CAMS placing a temporary moratorium on this padding.

Some one post up the link please!

Late call for a simple part!!

Hey lads...has anyone got one of the screws that holds the seat back mechanism to the seat back?

It is an M8 phillips head countersunk screw. I am short one, and would appreciate if anyone has got one to bring it on a trip to PI!!

See you soon gents....

Cheers

Jamo

That's a huge shunt!

Is everyone OK?!

Coming on to the front straight. Tom lost control control, from dropping off the right hand side of the track, then over steering into the tyres on the left side of track. The front right hit tyre wall, spinning the rear right into concrete wall. At speed. Igniting fuel.

Tom was able to climb out of door window and is safe.

He was pretty shattered though and doubt he'll be on the forum for a while.

Car is pretty much gone.  :'(

Was really good to see everyone again, I had a great time. Nice to meet many new people, put faces to names and have plenty of laughs. Thanks everyone and NDSOC for another excellent event!

Yes it was.

BUT IF ONE MORE PERSON APPROACHES ME AND CALLS ME LURCH OR LOCHY. I'M GOING TO PUNCH THEM IN THE NOSE AND TELL THEM TO GET SOME FEM FRESH!!!!

Congratulations Greg on a deserving win.

I've been at home in Perth this weekend doing a bit on whittie's Zed but spiritually I've been with you guys at PI and seeing these pics only makes me wish I'd been there more.

I know exactly the effort, dedication, meticulous attention to detail and $$$ it takes to get an old car into this condition, it's great to see the bar raised to such a high level...Kudos Greg you deserve it.
