nizm0zed
$1000!!!! ha! good luck with that... Seriously though, as a rough guide, i got a quote to re-do my drivers seat a couple of years back. It was $700 alone. Most of the cash spent is in labour, so if you can take your bits to the shop 'ready to trim' you'll save a fair bit. As for shops, Steve's Auto Upholstery on Isa st, behind the Kenro building. He's been in the game a Loooong time, does quality work. He trimmed Fitzpatrick's Chev that won summernats several years back. There is also Peggs Motor trimming. He works from home in Holt? (that area) His prices are good, but he can take a long time to get things done. Its still good quality though. I have had a couple of friends go through him and the quality is good. dat240z
you reckon heaps more than a 1000? i have new sparcos, dash, door skins and interior panels almost brand new. Its just headlining, carpet, and tunnel.... thanks for reccomendations, i budgeted 2000, but was hoping to go cheaper, saying that... it never works to budget. in my experience its normally 2x
nizm0zed
ahh, i was thinking you were talking about trimming up the whole car. Carpet and tunnel you could probably do yourself, its not hard, just time consuming. You can get carpet kits brand new. I havent looked at the headlining, but it looks like its sponge backed material that is glued to the roof skin. You'll definately need the front windscreen out though... $1000 does seem like it'd budget for it.
chris240
Ditto for Steves in Isa street. Also is topcat upholstery still in Phillip ? He quoted me $450 from memory per front seat for vinyl a few years back...in the end I just bought some decent MX5 seats
