Corsa224
Since falling in love with the classic zed car I finally bought one The one I purchased wasn't quite as good as i'd hoped but oh well it'll look great in time and with the help and advise from people on this site. So here's what she looked like firstly
Corsa224
Once she arrived she was horribly attacked with spanners and screw drivers. She now looks like this a shadow of her former self but all ready for soda blasting to see what she's hiding under all that paint.
Corsa224
I've ordered some nice new goodies ready to bolt on. - ZG Flares - BRE Style Spoiler - New Carpets - Sound Deadner sheets - Rota Wheels - Not sure what seats yet either Fto, Mx5 or S2000 - New Weather seal kit I had 4 ideas to base her on 1 - the grey paint, black trim 2 - Orange, just looks awesome 3 - the old racer look 4 - the brushed metal with clear coat look, but not sure now
zzzzed
exciting isn't it I dont think you could go wrong with either of the first two colours you chose.
EMPRACING
Ha yeah or even a take on the color it is but with darker (dosent have to be black gunmetal is fine!) accents like the bumpers and flares that always seems popular if you MUST have flares Also I'm bias towards s2000 seats they looked killer in mine when i was mocking them up the other day Anyway make sure you get it well prepped we made that mistake the first time round and now the paint nasty Have fun getting any sleep while you decide the big things haha good luck with it too
zzzzed
it will get a bare metal re spray and a nice coat or 3 of acid etch primer before the high fill primer. Then once its all painted it will have all the body cavity hit with fish oil and or cavity wax this should keep the nasty s away for many years to come
RBZ 260
You sure don't muck around. Good start. Have fun with colour choices. My choices keep changing. Go with your gut feel and you make the right decision.
Administrators gav240z Posted January 4, 2012 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2012 I've ordered some nice new goodies ready to bolt on. - ZG Flares - BRE Style Spoiler - New Carpets - Sound Deadner sheets - Rota Wheels - Not sure what seats yet either Fto, Mx5 or S2000 - New Weather seal kit I had 4 ideas to base her on 1 - the grey paint, black trim 2 - Orange, just looks awesome 3 - the old racer look 4 - the brushed metal with clear coat look, but not sure now I think on a 2+2 the darker colours work better as they tend to hide the roofline a little more (Black, Grey). The 2 seaters look better in brighter colours that highlight the swooping lines of the car (eg Yellow / Lime Green / Red). I personally think you should go with the same look as Jay's 2+2 (the first pic in the post). However it might help to look at this orange 2+2 posted by a member a long time ago. http://www.viczcar.com/gallery/index.php?cat=10096 So it could look good either way. PS: That orange 240z you posted looks awesome, do you have more pictures of it?
EMPRACING
why hide it? FLAUNT IT BABY you and your 3 friends.....that's right i went there on a more serious note that orange looks nice hey but many would agree there are only a few colors that really pop on a 2+ i used to see some shockers around. Corsa224
oh the 3 friends struck deep, i cried myself to sleep, im only new here lol..... im torn between the colours, yes the grey is classy but then this is a awesome car so why not show it off, So Im thinking - Orange, Rear bar removed, Flares and Spolier painted in the same grey tone as the wheels Do these wheels with these specs fit on the z's with out to many issues? 17 x 9 4 x 114.3 -
zzzzed
I have the same rims but I have 9.5 for the rear and 9 for the front.
Corsa224
great minds think alike, Did you need to do any mods to make them fix with the std suspension?
Retro Z
They can be fitted without suspension mods. Tried them on my previous 2+2 also in 9 and 9.5's, in fact they fit on the rears even without flares if you roll the lip.

Roberto
You may be able to get this spoiler from either Otomoto (in CF) or AllZParts in NSW. This sticky will help you out. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,4098.0.html

EMPRACING
If it makes you feel better i reckon nearly half the 2+2s on earth have rust in those areas some worse! mines got some in most of those areas again hows yours under the back lip of the roof where the hatch attach brackets and in the corners? I think that whole right side is a disaster in mine but we will prevail!!! just look at that dark grey car a few times a day to remember what the end result can be
