some picks of the builit oil pump gears for the N1pump and the studs for the mains

Pete, where did the oil pump gears come from and roughly what price?

With the single cam vs twin cam head, the single cam head is A LOT lighter.  I strongly considered a 30 head with some work done instead of the 26 head for that reason.  Could make quite a difference to keeping a Z nicely balanced.

This is going to be a monster Loui  ;D

hi Scando

the gears are made hear in aus you can get them from jpc or spool they cost about $320 good investment as the n1 pump gears have been known to fail ,more the cranks fault as the drive is not to good, and as the crank flexes it works the gear very hard

Thanks Pete, sounds like a good option that's much more affordable than a Tomei/Nitto/Jun pump.

No fight, just a shiver stir :) So what can be improved on VG engines?

As a VG30DETT owner it would be nice if they stopped spinning bearings, blowing head gaskets, running hot on #6 and melting pistons. I guess there is a bit of Z32itis creaping in there though, but lets be honnest not Nissan's most reliable engine.

Electromotive went back to single cammers instead of the twin cam because they couldnt make them reliable enough, but im not telling you anything you dont know there.  ;)

Arent you ditching your VG30DET for a VG33ET anyway?
