scrumpy
Does any Zedphile know the name and telephone number of a specialty Z parts store in Japan who speaks english. The reason I ask is there are inumerable NOS S30 240-260Z parts panels trim still avaiable in Japan. My problem is I don't speak Japanese. Someone out there must have a contact. If you don't want it public then please MP me. I am not a business and don't want to on sell to anyone. Thanks Matt

C.A.R.
Very few Japanese Zed specialists speak English mate. You need to find someone who either: A: speaks Japanese & can order stuff for you, or B: who brings this sort of stuff in themselves & put up with the price markup, or C: learn to speak Japanese yourself! scrumpy
A lot of Japanese speak the world's business language which despite a US induced blowout is still english.
C.A.R.
Interesting... That's in complete contradiction to your first post! Care you rephrase? And if that IS the case, why don't you start calling them? A lot of Japanese speak the world's business language which despite a US induced blowout is still English.

warrenz
I found the same thing, but if you email them you will find that many of them can usually read English and respond in Jinglish but that is only half the problem solved. Then you will find that they do not accept international credit cards, so back to square one. There are only 2 solutions. 1. Have an friend in Japan who can do the buying and paying for you. 2. Use the companies that bring the stuff in and pay the inflated price. Warren

sexual_sushi
scrumpy, how did you get on with this? I'm considering getting a steering wheel from japan :S
kalium
I Used to live in Japan and hung out with some Zed boys there a few times. There is a Z shop north of Tokyo. Called Ultimate Z or something. I saw the guys(Toshi??) business card just the other day when I was rumaging through some old stuff. Will have to have a look again. His English was OK as far as I remember. Sending emails is always a much better option than calling on the phone by the way. Much easier to converse that way if you are going to be only using English. Unless you speak Japanese or have someone over there that can get the stuff for you, I'd Just get someone like otomoto to do it for you. sco_aus
And that is a great point. Ben from Otomoto is a sponsor for the site, so give him a shot to help support the forum.

BenZed
And that is a great point. Ben from Otomoto is a sponsor for the site, so give him a shot to help support the forum. Thanks for mentioning that. I speak Japanese and I have many Japanese contacts. If you know what you want and have the website and/or contact details I will get a price for you. Please be realistic about what you can afford however, as I don't like chasing these things up for nothing. If you aren't ready to pay the asking price in Japan plus shipping plus tax plus commission then please just carry on with happy dreams instead
