zzzzed
yeh the cold weather plays havoc with the metal rod up my leg. :-\ Are you claiming your medical expenses on third party insurance? It might be worth the claim for you. I got a good solicitor to get me every thing i am entitled to. I think i might get out and do some things to the zed this week some time I have to pull the f54 l28 out of the 280zx so i can get rid of the rest of the car. I need to free up some some space in my yard

zzzzed
today i put a fule pump that works in the 280zx which has the motor that i will be using in my 240z. Wow this motor runs crisp and smooth. I did a compression test on it a while back and it came up with 150 psi even on each pot. Its a f54 block and i have a p90 head which i will put on it I wont be putting this engine in the car till i have a after market ecu and all else i need to make it run In the mean time i will do with the l20et as it is all there, it just needs to be bolted in

zzzzed
funny you should mention that when i was actualy thinking of adding a bit to the tail fins lol I dont know why but my yountube video of the old bluebird has 2000 more hits than my zed video's
zzzzed
Well I finally got to work on the zed for the first time this year due to recovering from a motorcycle accident. I have removed the slam panel to replace it with a new one. Just as i expected i have a bit of fabrication work to do before i fit up the new slam panel. There is quite substantial rust on either side above the tail light as you can see in the photo Any way ill be getting in to it a bit more now i am more mobile and i ham back at work and earning a crust again

zzzzed
i still havnt fixed it. Instead i have decided to drop it down off the rotisserie and back on its wheels so i can rolll it out of the shed and sandblast the area before i put the new metal in. should be all fixed in the next week or two Here she is off the rotisserie, still with no suspension . the wheel is just sitting there for modeling
Administrators gav240z Posted August 1, 2010 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2010 Mick cut it out with the freaking youtube. LOL i can't watch that at work (bastards blocked it) put some pics up for god sake. Proxy servers are your friend. http://www.hidemyass.com/ (not it's not porn). As a side note I'm looking forward to seeing progress on your bluebird wagon there. Is it a 410 wagon?
zzzzed
the bluebird is actualy a wP 312. I hope to have the 240z painted by the end of the year then i can start on the body work for the bluebird I have decided that i am going to paint the bluebird the same color as i painted my bike (barbados)and a nice set of white walls and hubbies I will be looking for an a15 engine from a sunny or maby even a L20b this is the color i am thinking
zzzzed
well its off the rotisserie with all the suspension in. Now i can roll it in and ouy the shed. Its starting to reach the final stages of the body work so i will be taking it to work real soon to start laying down some paint
reverendzed
Well done Mick can't wait to see your progress. Rev
Roberto
Good stuff. Hey, you have the "260Z" staggered rear bumper holes. I thought all 240Z's had the holes parallel. Maybe just the earlier ones. Your rotisserie will not line up with earlier 240Z's then without mods??
C.A.R.
Good stuff!
zzzzed
the rear beaver panel has been replaced at some stage and is neither 240 or 260z because it is completely flush so the bumper holes may be different. I have never had a bumper fitted to it so i wil;l be doing a dummy fit before i paint it all Thanx for the encouragement guys
zzzzed
i finished off the rear slam panel It turned out pretty good. I had to fabricate i far amount of the section under the slam panel because it was rusted right out Next is time to fix the rusty hatch. I am not looking forward to this because it is quite bad, so if any one has a resonable hatch they dont need, I will gladly take it off your hands
