dave_hl
what i have considered doing is removing the black bumper, making a mold out of foam to go where the bumper was and then fiberglasing that mold and then screwing it in to replace that black bumper to give it a smooth flow over the rear end. would take a lot of work though and require a little cutting but would look dam nice if it worked. I haven't had the balls or patience to do it yet though, all i did was remove the bumper, leave it like for a month or 2 and then put it back on. Add
Hey, Have you checked over at Hybridz to see what the guys have been getting at over there? Or even Zdriver.com they have a pretty strong S130 community over there also. What dont you like, are they to plain or to fancy? Would you consider buying one and modifying it to become what you want? These and many more questions after the break, on ACA. Lol (Sorry had to throw that in) Add
luvemfast
Jury is still out for me also. The bumpers look (and are) heavy. At least the front of my car should be better soon as the front spoiler is almost finished. But what to do for the rear........
Zedback
Would like to do the same with mine. I've found a couple of pics, can't remember where from, I think the grey one was on hybridz. I like the smooth rear of the yellow one (minus the wing!)
dave_hl
thats a nice looking rear end of the mat black 280, not sure about the front end, i like that its toned down and not the regular bulky thing, but it looks a little... boring and nothingness almost. luvemfast
I'm a fan of the shaved yellow rear........might be doing that me thinks
Zedback
There are so many, many things on the list of things that would be nice to do... How would you approach it? Couple of kilos of body filler, shaped foam and fibreglass, sheet metal?
Add
Wasn't the guy who owns the matt black s130 from hybridz (as pic above) talking about making duplicates of the front and rear. But yes, go the yellow without the spoiler.
Zedback
Got it into my head to shave the bumpers. Started on the front and will do the rear next. 1st pic is the front bumper fillets: 2nd pic is front of 280zx with indicators and license plate remounted. 3rd pic is mostly completed LHS bumper fillet. 4th pic is styling direction for 280zx (dodgy paintshop chopping, ). Gets rid of a lot of the fussy body lines and angles the rear out over the stock lights. Changes to the rear end are not small and quite possibly beyond me, but given how well the front seems to be coming along... Mike
Add
Looks awsome Zedback Has anyone thought of just shaving off the bumper boobs to see what that looks like?
OZ001
this is the rear aero kit im after and the side skirts also ..
Zedback
It's a nice look on that black one. If you can find someone who you can deal with in Japan you can still get them. Bloody expensive though once shipped
Add
There is a group over in NZ who do that front end, I know that they make a full body kit also. Here is a link to a NZ Z car forum I belive they are called foxton plasitics http://www.zclub.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=1135&test=test

Add
Hey, Just as a warning I have seen alot of negative posting about the showcar bodyparts group on both hybridz and zdriver forums. The general concensus is that they are of poor quality and have long delivery times. Cheers Add
