I run 2 rfactor leagues, one of which should interest you all greatly. Historical racing (historX) has classes from, TC65 GTC65 and the full blown 76's.

If your interested goto http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/index.php and register, we have control of 2 online servers that can be configured any way possible. We also run a PCC07 league and a F1 league all being rfactor based.

Also if you are going to download the historX mod download it from http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4260676/rfactor_Historic_GT__amp__Touring_Cars_1.01

It,s 1.2 gig all in 1 file so try use a DL manager.

The one from rfactor-central you will need a game called GTL to acivate the mod which i doubt any of you will have. The above link you dont need GTL

Sulio, If you get people to join XGN http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/index.php?  then i can pass on the server password so you all can have private use of the historX server or the PCC07 server.

Cheers

Ok, i'm interested, but I just can't seem to find what this game is all about?  Do you pay for it then go online and actually race in a series, or is more of a managers perspective, or what?

I see a whole bunch of acronyms, but don't know what they mean :P

Hi Glenn,

Definately inetersted. I've been playing on line with Mick74. It's a pretty cool sim. Yes the Historical racing looks very cool. I've downloaded the 5 parts needed and as you mentioned below they've got it configed so you need a game called GTL to run. Loks like you've provided another link or u below.

Also if you are going to download the historX mod dont Download it there download it from rfacotcentral

Scott,

Download the game first and install it. I'll send you what you need to get the try/buy part sorted and then you need to download the component mentioned above which is free. I'm still going slow trying to work out bit's and pieces but I'll check out the forum Glenn has mentioend and take it from there.

Once we are all sorted we should lock in a time we can race on line. That would be 4 of us to start with!!!!!

how cool!

Hi guys, You will find that we already run a league on Wednesday nights, We are small on numbers ATM so now would be a great time to jump in. I pretty much know rfactor inside out so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Here's a couple of cars that i painted in some spare time,

pictures were to big but got this youtube vid instead to give you an idea on the game, you tube quality is pretty crap. LM72 cars at nords

Sometimes we will do season with our own liveries with our numbers, names etc on the cars, also have team mates and full scoring.

Here is the Season schedule that i do everyweek.

Glenn, those cars look great. What game. I read on a forum somewhere that a 240z is being prepped for the HGT.

Excellent I'll download all the HISTORIC GT parts tonight. It might be a good idea to put up links for all the individual parts needed from start to finish, ie the game itself and the particular mods so people like Scott can get up and running. Also Lurch mate, I'm only using a Logitech USB "Sony Style" game pad so no reason for you not to be in it, only $20.00 for the controller and I'm running the whole thing on my laptop, works great!

Alright, first download is:

rFactor light: http://files.filefront.com/rFactorSetup1255LiteRFCexe/;10214561;/fileinfo.html

That is the game itself.

Install it and then you have to buy the game to activate it $50

Then Download and install this mod:

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4260676/rfactor_Historic_GT__amp__Touring_Cars_1.01 Its a big download but well worth it.

That will get you going so you can jump on the server and play but you will have to add the right tracks of course. You will find the servers track list at XGN HistorX section in the stickys.

There is 100's of mods for rfactor which are all free. You pay once and own rFactor for life. The mods and tracks just keep comming.

In the meantime dont be shy to register at http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/ Our section is in the racing part. You will find them very friendly and very much like minded people.

PS Sulio, its one "n" lol

I'm an F1 nut so I bought this kit below from Hyperstim a few years back & never looked back. Naturally I painted it in the BRE livery of John Morton's 240Z.

Were can this game be purchased Glen?

Regards, Nick.

Just so you know the link i provided is all one part, so a DL manager or something might be in order, hate to get to nearly the end and have a dropout :)

Im going to remove the rfactorcentral link so no one else downloads it by mistake.

I did the 60 minute trial, I have to say I didnt have much fun.  The graphics remind me of a game I had when I was a kid and it just wasn't very fun.  If it were free, or at least a fair bit cheaper, then I would do it, but $40 odd would be well spent on helping get a Autronic in the zed. :P I'm sure it would be more fun with real people though. Anyone know where I can get it cheaper?

Cant get it any cheaper for $40 mate, If the game looks bad its not the games fault you probably have an old computer. Heres how the game should look on an above average computer

If you do have an above average computer (1-2 years old) then you need to check that you have it configured correctly. Make sure its in DX9 for a start.

yah! thats the way sco_aus,

Hey there Ash i remember racing against you i dont know whether you remember me or not, HistorX is gtl2 but in rfactor form. Remember to read the manual that comes with the mod (if you download it) for setting up your wheel. Its very important.

This round only is yank iron only- the rest of the time its any car in teh TC65 class,

Next series we will vote and see what we want to run, probably the GTC65's with a couple of single make rounds. So basically everyone gets a say and then one of the guys takes it all into account and makes up a season.
