It will be a magazine and memorabilia night. So bring along anything that might be of interest to the other club members. We will have posters, magazines, marketing material, models, videos etc etc The meeting will start at the Shannons office at 7pm. 3-11, Ross Street, Newstead Aug 10th – Club run to Marburg and Lock-Rose The club is taking a run to the Motor-Cycle Museum at Marburg. Then taking the scenic route to Lockrose Museum with a BBQ lunch. Aug 23rd – Track / Training day at Morgan Park The WRX club are organizing a Driver Training/Trackday at Morgan Park Raceway @ Warwick Cost: $195 for the morning session or $295 for the full day The day will be run by SDT and they will have experinced driving instructors on hand for tution. The day will comence at 8am till 12 when we break for lunch then for those who wish to have a bit of an open session and put into practise what they learnt in the moirning session can do so. To make this event happen they need 20 paid and confirmed entrants. To pay with credit cards call Nick Davies (WRX Club Treasurer) on 0414700184 and he will happily take you payment. If you have any questions contact Nev Scott 0433103584 Oct 5th – Classic Japanese Show and Shine Just a reminder of the up-coming Classic Japanese Show and Shine to be held 5th October 2008 at Strathpine. Don’t forget that there are Classic Japanese Show and Shine shirts for sale. These are either in (white with blue) or (white with red) Cost is $24.00 each. This is your chance to upgrade your old sealed beams on your early zed to modern H4 headlights. This conversion gives you a remarkable improvement for night driving with a much brighter crisp light. Robin will oversee you doing your own conversion thus eliminating labor costs leaving you to pay for parts. The date, time and location have not been set so let Robin know if you are interested ASAP. (rkevans@optusnet.com.au) TBA – Corner weight measurement day We have been offered the use of a set of scales to measure the corner weights of our cars. This gives you the chance to see how the actual weight distribution is in your car (not just the overall weight). We will be trying to get a large number of cars measured in a limited time. For this reason we will not be able to allow anyone to adjust their car while on the scales. The date, time and location have not been set so let Robin know if you are interested ASAP.
