Groundhog
I'm thinking it is someone elses plating as i dont remember removing it. Looks like it is for a pull cable or wiring as it is quiet lightweight. Anyhow it doesnt appear to be something critical i've forgotten to pur back. Cozza
Could it be a clamp that supports auto cooler lines? Fixed to the bell housing maybe? i got no idea if a Z has one of these but that’s what I reckon it would look like if it did. ;)’ i wish I could use emoticons and capital letters worked. Groundhog
Its very small and light and i should have put something next to it for scale. Can only hold light wires or a small pull cable. So no go on the gearbox. Thks.
Moderators PB260Z Posted September 16, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2018 Hi Looks the cable securing bracket off a downdraft carbie - the old Chev has one similar to that. cheers PB
Groundhog
Positively ID'd as not being Zed. It's a micro switch bracket from a VK Commodore and similar to a bracket used on a Rochester carburettor. Mixed up with carburettor plating. Thks everyone for your help.
