New Club Car Addition 1973 240Z With Documentation

Recommended Posts

Hi

Well finally found a great club car after several years of searching & rapidly rising values! :)

Blurb from the sale info...

For sale, Matching numbers green 73 240z. It has no rust not been driven much since it was painted many years ago. Paint is very good but not show perfect.

Current QLD club rego. Just need interior plastic panels, door handles and emblems installed. I have not found the time to install them the last couple of years. I am open to reasonable cash offers.

Factory original including AM radio except for the fluted bonnet, paint, new rubbers, and carpet. The dash as a couple of cracks. The original worn carpets are in a box. It has a fresh 2.8 on it at the moment (bored out l24 block) a cam with vernier adjuster. The headlight has been upgraded, the matching numbers L24 motor is in the garage. It comes with original bonnet original L24 cam in a box and exhaust headers.

I have the cars logbooks and original import papers. I bought the car from the third owner in Devonport Tasmania 15 years ago and drove it up to Brisbane. At the time it only had one less than 5 cent size rust, surface rust on hatch latch panel and lead on roof joints lifting.

It was an off market deal thankfully and a big thanks to a ZCCQ member for the heads up 8) & also the owner who had realistic expectations.

It saves it being flipped quickly as sooo many seem to do these days. Cannot believe our mint the floors are!

Some photos after spending about an hour putting in some trim/badges etc.

Hi,

Well done, that car looks fantastic. Been a long time since I have seen a car with so much of its original paperwork, that radio manual looks like new.

Enjoy.

Cheers

What model/specs?

Am looking at various similar for the missus.

She does like the MB gle 250d

No need for towing capability though

late 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 6.4 hemi 8 speed ZF auto (approx. 350kw & 620nm torque) :)

complete with sport modes, tow modes, paddle shifts & launch control

With those specs you would be able to move a house.

How does it go on fuel when not towing ?

Surprisingly well

15-17 litres/100km around city

Done 3 road trips so far to Sydney & Bathurst and towing 2 tonne loaded dual axle car trailer it also gets between 15 - 17 litres/100km

without car trailer its doing 10.2 -11 litres/100km

very impressed

Agree very impressive and also rather surprising.

I was expecting it drink 20-25L /100 when towing.

Yes that was the range I was expecting - but due to torque it just is not working hard and has to be one of the most effortless cars I have used to tow with.

Our other car is a 150 series prado V6 and its working hard and delivering 18 litres/100km when towing (12.5 - 13 litres when on hwy without towing)

Also, it is only 80 litre fuel tank and range is not a problem...which amazed me as I tow with a mate how has FJ cruiser and he put in an extra 15 litres for same distance traveled
