Might it be reasonable to organise 3 of these each year, one north, one south and one west.

As we have just had one down south perhaps we should be looking at the other two options.

The new car museum at Gosford is my suggestion.

Are there any go-kart tracks or the like around Katoomba or Lithgow for a future 'west' event

The next 'south' might be at the Aircraft museum near Nowra.

These are probably slightly longer so they might not suit most owners?

I can suggest 2 out west that I have done recently. Taralga hotel, Taralga, meet at the Hydro Majestic Hotel in Medlow Bath then travel 2 hours to Taralga via excellent driving roads, for Sydney siders it is about a 35 min drive from Taralga to Goulburn/Hume hwy to return to Sydney.

2nd option, Tarana Hotel, Tarana 45 mins from Hydro at Medlow Bath, alternate route which is a great drive is to go via Jenolan Caves rd to Oberon then up to Tarana and return via Great Western Hwy or Bells line of road.

Another addition to the Tarana route is a stop in Lithgow at the Small Arms Factory for a tour then on to lunch at the Tarana Hotel.

Happy to provide further route details and maps or information if needed.

Regards Craig

Given its summer and my lack of air-con I'm with Craig!

Taralga & Tarana are both great drives and bound to be a few degrees cooler if it's a stinker.

Cheers Tony

Hi all.

Thought I would use this thread rather than create a new one. Was thinking a drive day / bbq / picnic / get together would be good. Given silly season and school holidays are now upon us maybe forward planning for February?

Some ideas to get the thoughts flowing:

Wisemans Ferry / old pac highway

Royal National Park / Stanwell Tops etc

Head South and meet up with Canberra crew (Grandma's at the Farm for lunch or something)

Head west up through Bilpin

I’m keen and would enjoy any of those options.

Feb is a long way off though. ????

Anyone make the 2nd or 3rd of December?

Hi

Sorry for being slack and not organising a drive for a LONG time. Things have just been crazy at both home and work, I have hardly had the time to even look at my Z.

Anyway,

I should be able to make something on the Saturday, prefer on the north or northwest side.

Maybe meet at Berowra and head up the Old Pac Hwy to Calga then head back to Road Warriors at Mt. White for a burger ?

Cheers

PB

No worries Pete - it shouldn't always fall to you to organise. I'm happy to head North. There's another route Ive been looking at which I'll save for another drive

I’m coming from Cronulla but happy to leave any time.

Meet for 6 or 7 say?? I’m easy.

I’m not familiar with the route but I find many roads down this way are busy and not so much fun after lunch.
