Rear Seat Lock/latch For 2+2

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone has had an issue with the rear seat latch in a 2+2??

One side of mine doesn't appear to lock in place so before I remove them and take a look it would be nice to get a heads up if someone has gone through the same issue.

If it's stuffed i'm sure I could fix or retrofit something similar.

Thanks

John

Hi,

Not certain, but I think there is linkage that over time wears and results in the problem.

will check tonight.

Hmmm

I tried both together and it didn't make a difference..

When I move the lever it feels like there is little movement in latch..

The catch for this mechanism has packers under it to get it at the right height to function correctly. Try adding or removing packers, from memory i have a bunch of packers from the 2 X 2+2's i parted out.

Hi Mark

So should they latch automatically when you throw the seat back up ?

Mine doesn't

They should mate yes. It's possible that the hinge mount has come loose and that's why it's not lining up. It's just like a door catch, you might have to spend some time with it to get it right.
