Gav , surely someone could , but , after following the thread on hybrid z where all thought it was close to seeing

Repro's made ,must be either, more difficult or , unreasonably financial to fabricate . Guess that's why they are commanding such prices . Funny market for the Z , if it was parts for English 70's auto's , parts are pretty much still being made , easy to access , maybe in time someone will see a global market emerging for Japanese classic cars ( not excluding Black dragon ,MSA , etc ) but taking it to the next level , Will

Not sure what the feeding frenzy is on JDM headlight covers lately?

But someone must really want a set...

~171,000 YEN.

Surely someone could reproduce these for a better rate than that?

Another set

260z 2 seater rear hatch.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/southport/auto-body-parts/datsun-240z-rear-hatch/1079674694

It's listed as 240z but the hinge points are closer together (240z is wider apart) and the lower portion of the inside of the hatch looks different.

Also has 2 gas strut mounting points...

From the look of it, it's in rough shape. I'd expect to find bog when sand blasting it.

Make your offer accordingly.

$450 for a likely bog filled hatch minus glass...

As Darryl Kerrigan would say.... "tell him he's dreaming"

Well I'm careful when saying if something like that is not worth x amount because I've not had to look for a '260z' rear hatch and honestly don't see them for sale often. But yes I wanted to give people a heads up so they don't get burnt buying something that isn't suitable for their needs and from my own experience with hatch repair I think you'll find some hidden stuff under that paint.

Do these look like the chrome rings that go on the tail light garnish of an early S30z? I didn't think you could remove these from the rear garnish...

To answer my own question, I removed my tail light garnish yesterday and noticed it was possible to remove the stainless trim from them. Not sure it's possible to do without damaging them in the process though..

PS30-SB radio delete pocket. Part no. 68835-E4100

Asking US $599.99

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-Datsun-240z-Radio-Delete-Plate-432-Beyond-Rare-NOS-/191601680752

Auction is for a Genuine Nissan Datsun 240Z Possibly 432 radio delete pocket....I have never seen one, every Z I have come across in the last 30 years has always had a stock radio installed from factory. Super rare and yeah its a hunk of plastic but if you have to have all the 240z parts you can get or have a 70 that you really don't want to spend the money on an original radio cause you never listen to it then this is it! You can slide your phone or wallet in it and cruise in silence. :)

We should buy it and have it reproduced. :) Surely there is another car out there with a DIN pocket that could be modified to look like this? Hmm might be worth looking in some junk yards...

What do you put in the din pocket of your race car???  :o

Cool, but not $600 cool bahahaha

Actually I'm not sure if it is a 432-R din pocket, it might be a PS30 din pocket only? Usually the 432-Rs had a blanking plate like they did for the clock. So I may have made the conclusion accidentally. I wonder if you could order a Fairlady Z without a radio back in the day?

Looks like the choke was mounted here instead of the transmission tunnel which was totally spartan with a leather like cover and ignition switch in position of normal choke/hand throttle.
