when did who have an arguement about donations?

i think arguements on the internet are called discussions nowadays..

donations are really down to the individual. but if there is some higher being out there who wishes to donate $10 for every wrong guess at his dreams, then I think its only fair to fill both his inbox and viczcar's bank account.

i agree with jp240z's way of thinking, now shouldn't we all want to offer him our pointless cars so auszcar gets money? and i vaugly remember the "argument" about donating members or something lol.

 

i also agree with george that you should look in the JDM market and import a dam nice 432R, or fairlady if u want to be "cheap" so we can all have a look at it, assuming u'll stick around?

oh man calm down everybody, always dissapoints me to see threads go this way. Anyhow I think everybody will agree it's time for any interested parties to PM Andrew directly and take things from there as this thread is going nowhere fast. Lets all try focus on the constructive stuff.

Ok, here are some answers since clearly I did not make myself clear enough. I wont be replying to any more comments, only offers please from here on.

i think what you are looking for doesn't exist. the only way you will ever find the right car is to build it yourself. many on here have. it's the only way to get what you want. period.

 

you sound like a smart gentleman. if you know anything about cars you will know the above is true. you take a car that is 80% what you want and you do the rest yourself.

 

While this is the most intelligent thing yet to be posted in this thread, I somehow doubt our friend has the inclination to go to all that hassle.

 

Although if he has no budget, and is prepared to 'spend what is required to obtain the right car', then surely he can afford to employ the services of somewhere like the Healey Factory or similar restoration specialist, and stop wasting everyone on this forums time - I can't think of too many people on VicZcar who would waste their time doing a concourse restoration, they're too busy driving and enjoying their Zeds, and making a modification here or there as budget allows, for a little better stopping here, a bit more poke there.

When the thread is titled and reads like a marketing gimmick, where else was it going to go?  It sounds suspicious from the get-go, and every car thats been submitted to him has been met with "NO, that doesn't meet my criteria, go and read my original post."  Which is about as clear as the Murray

Guys I'm sorry to say but I'll lock the topic as it is. If you wish to offer your car for sale please get in contact with Andrew, his contact details are listed in the thread above. He has indicated that he would not like to get involved with further discussions other than via phone and therefore locking the thread should not be a problem.

 

For the record Andrew did make a donation. Donations cover hosting costs at this stage and by no means make me rich . Well not yet anyway.

 

Finally Andrew the quality of car you are after is few and far between. Most would change hands privately (as it looks you are trying to arrange). George is also correct in that top cars and highly collectable cars go under the hammer in Japan. If you wish to have some help finding an ultra rare 432, 432r (PS30 or PS30B) or even a 240zg (HS30-H) I can put you in contact with a fellow who may be able to help you acquire such a car. A 432 or 432r in Australia would definately be a first to my knowledge.
