So now all the ports are done i had steve at EFI hardware do a dummy tb to do some tests.steve made up a 55mm itb with a tapper down to 52mm .the aim of my test was to see how well the tb would perform on the os head would it drop much ..what bell and shape would flow best .and how much did the thratal shaft and blade hurt flow ..these tests are hard to work out some times and most times you walk away not knowing what to do .

But in this case i got a few good ideas on what the tb liked in the bell shape and which way the shaft needed to be set up.and how long the manifold wanted to be to flow the same hp as the head ..the last test of the day i removed the shaft and butterfly. To my surprise it only picked up 2 cfm 301cfm from 299cfm.all going well 445 to 450hp is on the cards at 8500

After much math and asking smarter people than myself 1.5mm had to come out from all the ports and 3mm from the inlet manifolds. 6 hours more .312 cfm 12mm lift honda port numbers

Keep those updates coming Pete, it's amazing to see all the details that make up a big build like this.

I'm guessing you have 'Lego' mans hands after holding that porting tool for so long ;D

You better be putting this motor in a test mule, I want to hear this thing running after 20 years in the garage.

Those ports look amazing, although obviously flow numbers are important more so than hkw good it looks.

Its been a hectic few weeks getting bits sorted and design new bits .things got a bit out of control. And had to ask Les Collins for some help making a all new cam and drive setup. We decided to go away from rocker operation. And build a cam over bucket system like a LZ ..also i spent a day at EFI Hardware making the new itb setup. Steve went out of his way to build custom made tbs for the job and dam they look great. Stay tuned. Lots of cool stuff coming soon.
