Sydney - First Sunday of Every Season Meet

Recommended Posts

It's obvious there was a lot of pent up need, nay desperation, to get out and ogle at Z's for a few hours on a Sunday morning. Why not do this every other month?

In the interest of fairness and to keep things fresh we can alternate between a south and a north destination. We have beautiful stretches of road at either end in the RNP and Old Pac.

The dates and destinations would be:

7 September (Spring) West

7 December (Summer) South

1 March (Autumn) North

7 June (Winter) West

Hey George,

Sounds like a fantastic idea to me, I agree regular meetings would be great.

How about we also try to arrange a meet 1/2 way between Sydney and Canberra at some point the next few months..

Maybe Moss Vale ?....or god forbid, Maccas at Marulan  ::)

Thoughts ....

Not quite north, but June the 8th is the FOSC event at

SMP (eastern creek) where we will be having the next

" Z Regularity Challenge".

Last time there were 16 zeds strutting their stuff, may be

worth dropping past for a look.

Vince.

Sounds like a great idea, maybe we could also look at a western run out along the Bells Line of Rd.

Great idea guys. Variety is the spice of life. I have updated the first post with the following suggestions.

August 10 - West - Bells Line of Road (full day)

October 12 - Canberra/Sydney Meet (full day)

December 14 - South - RNP > Macquarie Pass > Kangaroo Valley > Berry (full day)

Thanks Vince. I changed the date to June 15 to avoid a conflict for those that might want to do both.

Hi Chris.

We will be at Wakefield 5th/6th April for the FOSC W/end.

At this stage I think there about 8 or 9 zeds competing in both

SC and Regularity.    Not sure about the 6hr at the moment.

Cheers Vince.

This place could be a good meet up option for the sydney/caberra event. 150 ks from both. Gotta be better than Marulan maccas anyway.........

Why not do this every other month?

The dates and destinations would be:

April 13 - South through Royal National Park (half day)

June 15 - North through Old Pacific Highway (bumped to 3rd Sunday to avoid event clash) (half day)

August 10 - West - Bells Line of Road (full day)

October 12 - Canberra/Sydney Meet (full day)

Based on feedback it sounds like every second month might be too frequent to get decent numbers to each event. Instead, how about we bring in each season with a Sunday morning meet?

First Sunday of each season:

7 September (Spring)

7 December (Summer)

1 March (Autumn)

7 June (Winter)

etc

???

I'm in - might mean my car will be drivable by the next one !!

Maybe if anyone is keen to go for a casual drive at any other time and would like moral support they can post what they're thinking of doing in a separate thread ?

Postponement suits me-remember the clutch issues I had during the Old Pac run? It looks like it's the rear main seal leaking causing the clutch to bind :(. So my Zeds off the road for a little bit. Not sure rebuild or LS1.

Pommy Mike is visiting again next April so Peter will be hosting another Cars & Coffee on Sunday 12 April in leafy Sylvania. Much like this one: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,14071.0.html

A bit too early for all the details but they will be posted up closer to the date. I don't want to put pressure on the guy but he has kind-of promised to have his GTO build done by then.  ;D

I'd love to see that go ahead but someone would have to organise it as I'm away until the end of the month. I'd be happy to do it when I return but for the 7 December (Summer) date.
