I got my Gnose from them and the type A spoiler as well, quality and fitment is really good, but you will have to drill mounting holes and fit the fixings you require.

I have a few pics from test fitting straight after it arrived. Will post up later.

Benny thanks for the video.

also this one from rocky auto is nice. wouldn't do the NA Rb30/26 if going RB route just install the whole thing. but as article said he was making a balanced car. Though some things i wasn't planing to do on mine but after this article kinda have changed my mind.

http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/02/modern-heart-rokcy-auto-rb30-z/

Alex the kit I saw was second hand but apparently seller said genuine 5 pce kit with metal brake ducts diverters, brackets etc..

it was approx $750 Plus handling fees and 2x postage using Jesse. it would have cost probably landed around 1-1.2K or so pending exchange rates and 6-9 week wait for shipping via sea. otherwise air mail is too exy.

Edit cannot be posted via EMS only container and long long delivery times.

Otomoto appears to have good ones made in japan at $1150+ph with all the brackets.so be looking at that one.

They did come of a 240zg so perfect fitment.

Plug for Jesse Streeter. He is absolutely awesome. Top notch service and absolute legend. For people that have or think they have issues with Jesse need to stop take deep breath and f relax.

I had no pressure on him besides throwing 20+ links a day for last 5 weeks.

Items well packed and helps out in every aspect to save you coin. Btw hes heaps busy at the moment but when ready highly recomend him.

Also ordered the 5 pce g nose kit from otomoto. Cant wait for that too. Also 10/10 so far for communications from Ben.

Other work nothing much. Busy wrecking my s15 to make more room and clean my workshop.

Yep so as l28et, disk brakes, intercooler, power steer, etc...... Still want it to be my car. So few personal touches will be on it.

Yeah like the US ones makes the rear little but cleaner with one less color.

Did you buy those Watanabes new? If so, did you have a 4 month wait for them and then the wait for shipping?

I was in the process of ordering a set and yeah, there's a 4 month wait plus 6-12 weeks via sea.

Heaps of questions ok ill answer as go.

1. Power steer using 02 mx5 one details will follow when rack arrives.

2. Flares were made by local guy in adelaide. ZG replicas. Also got a set from japan but not pictured. Set of flares and rear wing will be for sale soon ao keep an eye for it.

3. Wheel are old school cast watanabes from the 80's not new ones. 5 weeks ex japan on the dot. But just under 2k with postage.

4. Dimitri rear lights in good condition are $300+ if patient. Seen the as high as 1k for new ones. Japan for US crapy ones 250-700 for better ones.

They popular in japan so hard to get them through there cheaper from US where I got these from.

I may have bits to fix ur right one if u after orange indicator. Sms me picture of your light and ill see if mine can be used to fix it. Not sure if right or left that i have an odd number off.

But do have 2 spare set of lights bit rough but can be prettied up.

Just sms me and i help out.

Yeah, I'd love to get a pair of AUDM/JDM/EUDM tail lights. I don't want to spend what people ask for them though.

Well have both styles.

As for legalities well mustang doesnt even have seperate indicators but tailights flashing still on the road.

Though pending on ADR rules on the compliance. If doesnt say indicators need to be orange well they aint illegal.

I only have like few adr rules so just need to check which one are applicable. Even if not dont care its damn color. What about all the color blind people does it meantey not allowed to drive yeah right.

Dont care if or not. Ill argue the point

Ok over 8hrs of blasting in 2 days and garnet everywhere.

Lot slower than expected. Multiple layers of paint body filler and tar based stone chip made it an absolute nitemare.

And the garnet just everywhere.

Finaly engine bay finished. Didnt totaly do the front end as it was full of body filler and was taking ages. Im cutting those off so no point wasting time.

Underneath i only blasted where the trolley is going to be. Once on the trolley the rest of blasting may be bit easier. If too hard ill just blast it when it ends up on the rottiserrie.

Oh did i mention the F#%^ng garnet everywhere  ;D

114C7335-E332-4AA7-8C1E-42561CC79216-4418-000004A342681B5D_zps7ad5ef62.jpg

As it was coated several times with tar stone chip, still soft, garnet just bounces off with minimal removal. Plan B has to be developed to remove the tar. Thinners seem ok bit slow and very messy. Anyone one suggest anything else???

The stock dry stuff seems to flake off easy.

Hopefully tomorrow give it a scrub with renex to get any traces of corrosion out than clean it and spray some weld through primer on it.

I knew it had a frontal at some stage and will be removing few panels off to get it 100%. Extra work i didnt expect.oh well that old z for ya.

Removed rear suspension and diff so greasy and full of redbacks. Anyone after r180 and driveshafts let me know.

So buggered.  :-[

Time to relax

I used a heat gun and a small cooking blow torch burnt the tar and scraped or chiseled it off. Comes off like cold fat on a roasting tray.

Then with left over residue i brushed a layer of paint stripper and pressure washed it off and all thats left is metal. Or it could be blasted off if majority of tar is scraped off.

Yeah ill try heatgun and scraper and bit of mineral turbs to scrape the tar.

Well yesterday my 240 tried killing me twice.

Hence I added Christine in the title.

Can a single person mount a zed on a 750mm high trolley without any cranes.

Simple answer yes but unless you want to be squashed like a pancake think about it twice.

One z shell and one trolley how hard can it be?

8AFC4479-AEDB-4AE7-9D7A-26E6D6DB7214-4418-000004A364BFF568_zps0699a679.jpg

Started well till almost on it i just needed another set of hands for front end to be tilted on top of the trolley.

As i started tipping it it decided to roll backwards on top of me.

Well i bolted and lucky the garage is brick and stop the z instantly

Though extra work that i didnt need

20316149-EAE7-47AD-B0A8-196BEE4FE17A-2840-00000373833D0554_zps5c7c3fd4.jpg

Another attempt at it with similar results but no damage to the car or myself (bolted very fast lol) till i figured my problem was with my aid, the roller pipe. Once sorted.

Launching to the skies just to tilt it over.

C5AC0FBA-E25A-45C5-BBEB-447F21F7DC9A-2840-000003735C8BEAA5_zpsedf0d4cd.jpg

Wooolaaa

Z on a trolley

DE339007-6282-4432-9EBE-28F4D02B7C74-2840-0000037398223E57_zpsb4d9e09a.jpg

So can a single person do it on its own? Yep

But quicker and lot safer way just get a carton of beer and 3 mates and get the job done in 20min than enjoy the beers for rest of the day.

Made the rear mounting brackets to suit 240z and almost finished the front mount. Trolley will be re-used for my other projects so the mounting brackets are bolted not welded.

Its high enough that i can even fit complete rails. Its at good working height for the body. Roof well need a ladder but that will be tackled on the rotisserie once the rails and rad support are welded back.

Till next time.
