The Bi-annual Trip to Tassie was on again this year with 9 people and 8 cars participating on this great trip across the Tasman sea. Organised by fellow club member Craig (620Z), get the full review on this awesome road trip of some of Australia's best roads on offer.

Auszcar members from Victoria recently attended a weekend cruise to the Grampians about 200 kilometeres outside of Melbourne. In spite of a mechanical issues for a couple of members most had a great time.

The bi-annual Tassie Tour event will be running again in February 2010, So for those of you who missed out last time its time to start planning ahead. What started as an impromptu idea turned into the biggest early Zcar turnout in Auszcar's history since our informal birth in 2004. 26 early 240z / 260z models made it down for the sunny day located in outer Melbourne. The success of the event has prompted us to consider making it an annual event.

The Nissan / Datsun nationals is a bi-yearly event that allows Datsun / Nissan owners across Australia to meet, socialise, participate in a track day and show off their cars in a show n' shine event. In previous years it has drawn many zed owners and 2009 will be no exception.

Auszcar members recently enjoyed a trip to Thredbo allowing members of NSW, ACT and Victoria to meet and greet and show off their cars in the sunshine. Nissan had contacted us prior to the event and asked if they could bring the one and only 370Z in Australia along. Of course we were happy to oblige. Read about the full story here!

A couple of weeks ago our Victorian members went on their second annual run of the Great Ocean Road. Arguably one of the best stretches of Ocean coast line in the world. Here's a quick review of the weekend for those who missed out!

Well we finished up with 9 cars and 12 people for the trip down south. As usual after getting on board the boat we congregated in the bar to meet / greet and go over the week’s itinerary.

The Datsun 240z and 260z Club enjoyed a cruise down to Mt Buller a couple of weeks ago. Dale (member Dalee) gives us a write up and a reflection on the weekend for those who couldn't make it (shame on you!). Sulio (member toecutter) puts together another great video of all the schenanegans. Sulio where do you find the time?

Before there was Initial D and before drifting was as popular as it is today. There was a cartoon comic making the rounds in Japan by the name of Wangan Midnight. Featured around the legendary S30 series Zcar known as a Fairlady Z in Japan but a Datsun 240z in export markets. The car modified by way of a triple carbuerated turbo charged L28 (L-series) engine. Recently released is a anime series based on the comic / cartoon series.
