Sorted. Had to put my own address cos paypal doesnt like viczcar.com as an address. But it should still be winging its way to you. OR i have donated to myself which means that i'll be the one getting a gasket set or 2 !  ;D

Yeh I have been eyeing joomla 1.5 myself but little worried about how some of the cart vendors out there are saying that it will take some time to get 1.5 integration working.

Gotta get back to replacing the rear fuel pump ( noisey bastard! )

That's for your generous contribution it's much appreciated. It went through fine, I tried to test the system but it won't let me pay myself lol. What problem were you having exactly?

If your going to use Joomla I suggest you do lots of research first, there are other CMS systems that may be more suitable as a shopping cart system. I am yet to have any experience with one on Joomla but I did look at a couple.

I think ijoomla.com have released one recently and there products are quite good.

Once again thank you.

Good idea about Sulio about recognising people who have donated by their avatar or however you spell it. People should also be aware that a few of us have also contributes around $100- each to cover the last few meetings at the Jag club. Another reason to try and get some sponsorship as it shouldn't be left to a few people to cover these costs. Probably a good idea if we can share it around amoungst the attendees next time. Maybe $10- pp and we can make up the balance. Unfortunately George money makes the whole world go around and there are only a few ways to try and generate it through a club like this. So really advertising is the logical next step if we are to take the club to the next level.

If you guys agree then it's fine by me.

On articles, maybe put up the common questions as articles. What wheels will fit, what's the dif between a 240 and a 260, what diffs, brakes etc will fit...

I just want to say that all donations are welcome not matter how little or how large. I understand if your a broke uni student who's barely getting by, trust me I was too at one stage. So far the response has been great, I only wish I had set something like this up earlier.

I'd also like to note that I won't be placing any additional advertising on the site than what's already there. I think what we have already is really not too intrusive and is providing a small amount of income, every little bit helps.

Cheers
Gavin.

OK, so how do we, the Great Unwashed, donate to our favourite Z car Forum?

This thread seems to start where a previous page might have left off. There is reference to people having successfully donated via PayPal, which I am happy to do, but no information.

I searched and only found the "Thank you for your donation" post.  ???

Suggest a how-to 'Sticky' to provide details of bank account for e-bank transfers and address for PayPal payments.

Meanwhile, could someone PM me and I'll throw in more than my $0.02

Thanks.

Hi Wal,

Gav has set up a PayPal donation button on the front page, scroll down a little bit and look on the left hand side panel.

Thanks for the contribution mate.

Cheers,
Sulio

Excellent. Simple to use and right there in front of everyone as a friendly reminder that we run on donations.

I think we have a fantastic resource here and I would encourage everyone to rally 'round. We need to recognise the tireless and selfless job the few dedicated admins do on our behalf to keep the Forum going.

If everyone just throws a dollar or two in, we can spread the load.

Thanks again, Sulio.

Ahh Dave it must be you who made the donation. Your paypal email and your viczcar.com email did not match up. Thanks for the donation.
I have changed your profile accordingly.
