hey guys,

many of the z31 owners out there would know that trying to get onto a good z31 forum in aus is near impossible, i have signed up to aus 300zx (which ofter you cop flack for owning a z31, not all members do) z driver is too small and takes a week for a reply, often is issues with website. what i would love to see is a place where i could talk about my 260z my 280zx or even my z31 and people feel the same way, i have seen a few familar names about on the forums so why not incorperate the z31 as many members on here have them, just remember there where discussions a couple of years back about adding the 280zx now look at how much extra knowlage and experience it has added.

cheers pauly

Seems to me there is a capable forum: http://www.auz31club.net/
Why not help grow that place Pauly?

IMHO the Z31 is too far removed in specification from the earlier Zeds.
I'd prefer to leave this place as it is, catering for the HS30, RS30, S130 chassis.

But hey, I'm Hitler, so I probably have the wrong idea anyway...

I agree that the Z31 should be included into this forum.
-It is a Zed
-there are many parts from z31 that are interchangable into 240z,260z
- i have two and am sure many other members have one.
- Other Z31 forums have struggled due to numbers and including the car into this successful forum would benefit everyone. i feel the Z31 is at an age where it may getting too old to still be a daily and hasnt reached the heights of the 240z/260z so instead of seeing them go to the wreckers positive influence and advertisement on this forum could save the model from being forgotten.
my 2 cents
Ric

I think they should be added also. It can only add knowledge to the site and cant take any thing away from us

People do have to accept that even though this is a community it is far from a democracy. Some one (our a small group) are putting their time and effort into running this site. Once you accept that you will be much more accepting of the final decision (even if the numbers in the poll say to add the z31 and they don't). Just something to keep in mind

In my opinion - and I'm always shy in posturing it - it's AusZcar not AusZXcar.  I think the ZX's can start their own  :'(

If someone already owns an s30 or s130 and wants to simply start a build thread for a z31 in their stable I wouldn't be too fussed. There would only be a few extra posts.

im not trying to start a fued, i just think that auszcar could potentilly grow for the better by adding z31 as there realy is no good community like this, somthing simple like a z31 page in tech and general forums as this would cover both basis, i understand that this is a s30 forum but s130 has also been introduced i just thought why not add z31 as it is also soon to be a classic, the z32 300zx has a good community as im also a member on there but when ever you discuss z31, there is never a good result inless you modifying it by putting a vg30dett in it. i have noticed that many members on here have z31 listed in there cars and i often see familar names on other sites.

There have been a few incarnations of australian Z31 forums, but they kept getting abandoned or mis-managed by the people that start them, leading to someone else starting another one, and so on and so forth. Theres been about 5 of them in the last 4 years.

Latest incarnation has grabbed back the www.auz31club.com domain name of the squatters that snapped it up when it expired, and redirects to a site that is trying to cater for all Z drivers, but the only people on there are Z31 owners, so far.

I sold all my Z31's
