Pedro
have fitted a new outer hatch weatherstrip. Its a one piece one i got from rare spares, it hooks onto the metal edgeing thats on the car. My issue is where the hatch bolts to the car. When i open the hatch the threads 'grab' the weatherstrip and lift it off the metal edging. Its like the threads are too long on the star shaped bolts. i thought a) shorten bolts b) no idea. any way around this? i found some literature on classiczcar saying that it may have been a three piece back in the day with the piece across the top which passes the hatch mounts being a tubular D shape rather than a rubber that hooks onto the metal edgeing. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?42260-Hatch-Outer-Weatherstrip not sure what to do on this one as the car is fumey as is and am trying to reduce that, but i dont want it lifting everytime i open the hatch thats just derelicte. cheers, Peter
