If it's rock hard when you put your foot down is that a type of foot fetish? ;)

Sounds like an interesting day haha. Would love to hear the feedback about the conversion, I think I have r31 brackets lying around here somewhere....

I can now confirm that there was No problem with air in the system, seems the 'NEW' Master cylinder was faulty and caused all the drama at the end of the day. I replaced it with my old Tokico one and now have a Rock Hard pedal.

Scoota,

have you pulled the master cylinder apart?  What was wrong with it?

We found a very easy way of modifying the handbrake, if you shorten the stock R31 handbrake Bracket and bolt by 50% and use right Caliper on right side, left on left, the Handbrake hooks up in almost a stock Position.

The bracket is a bit thick and also the hole is a bit small. A little grinding and you're ready to rock.

Dimitri's also has another way of hooking it up which we should get a photo of.

I just got a 1 Inch Master today so i'll fit that and we'll do a write up.

Hi folks, I'm just in the middle of putting the R31 rear brakes on my 240.

It seems to be taking a massive amount of stuffing around!

Scoota, did you mount the calipers up top (12 o'clock position)?

How much clearance did you get between the handbrake cable and the axle flange?

I found that shortening the handbrake bracket by 12mm seems to give the right length of travel for the 240 cable.

Thanks,

G

You'll need too mount the calipers facing toward the front of the car, at 12 o'clock they will foul on the strut.

Also you will need to suspend the hand brake cable by a spring or cable tie, it's close but it still goes.

I really need to do a write up on this, does the oracle have the photos?
