So when do we get a how to replace your floor pans tutorial from the master of Z restoration?

Can it still be done without putting the car on a rotisserie, up on axle stands?

Yep the only tough part is along the trans tunnel where you stitch weld it. The rest is plug welded along the inner rocker panel, lower footwell and just behind the seat after you drill out all the spot welds. If you raise the vehicle on one side you can can complete the welds underneath. If the car hasn't been blasted then most of the deadener will be loosened enough from the inside welds  to clean off easily with a wire brush (it also has a tendency to catch fire too but goes out quickly) simples.
Great to see some pace in this project.

Simon, we don't need another red zed; you can have my paint if you want! I'd go for the lime!

If we're looking at colour options in my opinion the most underrated s30z colour for 240z's is the original blue shade.

Go factory/period colours.
Using a modern colour looks great..... for about 2 years, then it looks dated to an era.

Hello everybody - I'm not dead - yet.

There has been very little progress for quite a while - between fires, floods, injuries, unsuccessful treatments, surgeries, rehab, work, more fires, more floods, more injuries ........

Anyway, it seems that things are settling down a little (did I just say that as we come into another potentially terrible fire summer?) and I've got a bit of leave coming up.  :)

I've decided on colour (not telling) and decided to paint the underside, inside and engine bay myself.  Then I can start the stuff I like best and get the bloody rotisorie out of the way.  I'm very excited so hopefully I can get the paddocks slashed and baled in the next week or so and get into the shed. ::)

Sorry I missed the christmas party, but I hope you all have a happy and safe Christmas and spend it with those that you love (Zeds) - and your families. >:D

Don't forget you've got to fit your seat mounts to the floorpan...

Welcome back. Cut that grass, don't want any near where the homestead and sheds are.
