G'day all,

well the parts car I've been looking at for 6 months or more, trying to get a price from the owner, has fallen over.  He's decided not to sell, so I'm up that special creek without a paddle, unless a knight in a rusty 240Z drives (or is towed) up.

I need a complete, or very near so, 240Z.  The rustier the better, as then I wont feel at all bad stripping her.  Ideally she will be a manual, but if only autos avail, I can't be a chooser now, can I?  Don't care what L series motor she has, would prefer L28, but not greatly fussed.

If someone has the sort of car the Toecutter has asked for, I'll take it instead.  ;D

But truly, the old rust bucket that's rotting out the back is the one I'm looking for.

Ask yourself:
Do I really need it?  Does it make sense to just let it sit there and rot?  Could I do with a bit of extra coin to throw at my one true love (whatever or whoever that may be)?  Would the leader of the opposition be happier (therefore I be happier) if it was gone?  Would getting rid of that one make room for a more feasible project to move in?

Please PM me with your offers.  Just a couple of happy snaps, a brief description of its pluses and minuses and your value/asking price.  I really need to get my project started as I'm frustrated  :-X (and my wife wants to know why I paid so much money for a primer coloured elephant in my shed)

Regards

MaygZ

Please don't turn this into a topic discussing the various methods of relieving frustration and each methods merits.  Please turn it into a topic on moving some of the potential donors around.

There is one on ebay right now.  Newly listed, rusty 240Z for $2500 "buy it now" or bid away.....

Sounds like what you are looking for....

Is a low build number like that really an ideal parts car? Wouldn't it be very desirable for restoration?

Not if the body is stuffed, doesn't matter what the number is, if it isn't economically viable then you're better off getting some value out of it, or do what has been in the past with other car types and rebirth......(now running for cover :o)

It's OK.  The Rev sent me the link.  It sold at 13:06 and I logged on at 13:15  :-(  Does one have to live on eBay doing 5 minutely scans??

BUGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the question still stands - Anyone got one laying around??

I suppose when you get home from work at 0430 you tend to miss some of the morning.  >:(  If everything was free I wouldn't have to work.  Bloody capitalism!!

I very much appreciate your effort though Rev, thank you.

John has decided to keep the 240 as he is going to fix it up one day?

Loui,

look within yourself for the answer.  Ponder, meditate for several minutes.  Search your sole, as strong the love in this one is.

"Man knows no greater love than to lay down his Zed for his brother."  (Rev, back me up here.)

There is a lot of love here.  "I can feel it coming in the air tonight."  (stop singing and keep reading)

"Give to your brother and receive it in return 10 fold,"  if not in this life, then in the next.

"When you can take the pebble from my hand, you are ready."  "You are ready my young Padawun."  Ready to give me "the greatest love of all, ....... is happening to me"  (You know you started to sing again)

I'm happy to come and pick it up.  When's a good time for you?

You know you're still singing, aren't you?

"I'll be coming 'round the mountain" to pick it up.  (stop singing ... this is serious mum)

Until I have a donor car, I can't complete Lifes Journey and I may just arrive at the final destination in a well preserved body!!!  I'm sure you don't want that, do you?

Will you stop singing and focus?!

Call me big boy.  Just call me 'big boy', 'cause I like it when you do!

As it is I sit here waisting tax-payer's money trolling the web most of my day, then to miss out because I try to squeeze some work into my day.  >:(

That's it Mr Govt, don't bother calling, I'm busy looking for a Zed.

Maybe a search and sieze warrant issued in Lansfield may yield a result?

Sorry to all who may not be able to connect the dots on this subliminal post.

Sorry mate, had to vote that you'll sit there making car noises.... As long as I can come along and 'navigate' for you in a reenactment of Targa Tasmania stages and the Pikes Peak hillclimb  ;D
