Car Blog Feedback

Hey George it looks good so far but....

There are many car blogs, how is yours going to be different?

What are your blogging goals? Do you want to attract a crowd of loyal readers? Do you want to advertise and make some money from it? Do you just love writing?

How often do you plan to blog? Do you have specific topics you want to cover?

I know your an avid photographer, I always enjoy looking at automotive photographers websites personally. Blogs need an angle, a hook, a theme to attract repeat visitors.

They also require lots of time. Not trying to put you off or anything ;) just adding some things to consider.

Thanks Gav. I'll take those questions as rhetoric. I've got a bit of experience with blogs so I know the general direction I'm heading towards. The only hard bit is keeping up the content while adding quality. It's not easy but I'm giving it a go. :)

Cheers Jospef. Glad you picked out the minimalist look. Was aiming for that to keep the focus on content.

cheers :)

Looking for people to interview. If you have a local race track you know well or even public stretch of twisties that's a popular drive and can spare a moment please send me a pm. It will be an informal type fun interview and I intend on covering a fair few tracks and roads so don't be shy. :)

Looks good George. I recently made a blog, man it's hard work so I can appreciate what you have done/are doing. I was just making a couple of blogs to use as a service history for my cars, something I can easily update with things like heard a knock from the rear end today, put new plugs in, put electric fans in etc. Catching up on the last few years is what's taking the time but after that hopefully it should be smooth sailing.

Good luck with it

:)

loved the rally clilp. You're not quite right about not seeing that kind of thing again. Its not quite on the same level......yet. But the brits are really going back to that era with quite a few guys now running the old escorts and some similar cars again. There used to be new inovations all the time and now it seems like they are all made from the same people with different badges and slight body differences. I know that there have been some big jumps in the electronics but that doesn't make for an entertaining and a value for money experience for the spectators like it used to when it was more about the guys in the car rather than the team around them. Man. I know I'm starting to get older now. I'm missing the good ole days.  ::) ;D

Found another one last night that made me all warm and fuzzy inside. Made me want to sell my house and start a rally team. haha. Will post it in a few days.

Do it. I'll work in the pit crew. You don't need a house. Just live in the transporter.  ;D

  • 2 weeks later...

Just completed my first interview. Came out alright I hope. Was a bit of work but fun all the same. Let me know what you think.

Oh and if you wish to do an interview featuring your local track or B road let me know. Always keen to get more done.

Cheers :)
