Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road ?

PLATO: For the greater good.

DOUGLAS ADAMS: Forty-two.

J.R.R. TOLKIEN: First, the Chicken, Sunlight coruscating off its vibrant, silken coat of feathers, approached the silently ominous road and scrutinized it intently with the obsidian-black eyes.
Every detail of the thoroughfare leapt into blinding focus: the rough, granulated texture of the surface, over which countless balding tyres had worked relentless tread through the ages; the innumerable fragments of the stone embedded within the lugubrious mass, and the dull black asphalt itself, pitted with crevices; and then it crossed.

DARWIN: It was the next logical step after it came down from the trees.

MARK TWAIN: The news of its crossing has been greatly exaggerated.

BASIL FAWLTY: OH, Dont mind the chicken. Its from Barcelona

Bruce you are showing your age,

It was actually Nick Cave, not Mick Cave, but then again it was a long time ago.

Mark who used to run the place at the time said to me a few years ago that at least back then you could make a living out of running clubs, as he put it the place used to be drunk dry by 1.00am and he couldnt shove another dollar bill in the safe, these days you only make money off selling botles of water for $6.00 a pop becuase everyone is popping pills, and then you have to make sure they dont try re-filling from the toilets.

I floated between clubs, even did security for Hoyts some nights at the Mid City complex as thats where all the high hype movies were shown and youde have hoards of teens causing trouble while the civilised films were shown up the street at the Cinema centre.

I think the only time I ever actually watched an entire gig was when Wendy And The Rockets, (Wendy Stapleton) preformed at Billboards, that was one hot woman, funny enough her Mum taught me in secondary school,.

Then there were the nights at Isabella's on Russel, that wasnt my favorite place to be on the door, the heads that walked into that place could only have been loved by their mothers.

It didnt last long for me either, I spent probably 6 months doing the "Member only tonight Buddy" thing before packing it in and becoming one of the crowd again.

Still, the 80's were the time to be around, I dont care what anyone says...

This is what drives me nuts about going out to bars and clubs especially in Australia. There is a real pill popping culture in Australia it seems and people who don't do drugs (such as myself) are forced to cough up $6 for a small bottle of water. So even if don't want to drink and be sober you get charged an arm and a leg for a bottle of water.

I'd never try refilling in toilets because I just feel its dirty (I've seen enough club / bar) toilets to know it's best to avoid them if possible. However its ridiculous that you can't even refill a bottle of water.

I'm not having a go at bouncers (they are just being told what to do) or you John I'm just venting that I hate the current club / night life scene for reasons such as this.  Not to mention the music is rubbish :).

time for a rant.

this one goes to people with horse blinkers on. u know the ones.

Holdens/Fords are best rest is crap.
Muscle cars are best
steel frame vs timber frame
Steel roof vs Roof tiles
and so on and so on.....

there is no right or wrong or better or worse. they all have their own advantages and disadvantages.
its personal preferance and someone view.

so get those blinkers off, smell the flowers (or open a bonnet and take a good whif of petrol and oil) walk away with a smile or hide in the hole and dont bother comming out.

just had an overload of this behaviour both in carscene, building scene so i thought ill vent off , feel better now.

where was i and what was i doing?

ahh yeah more calls to contractors and try do my work at work.

Monday again. Another weekend gone and all the car work I managed to do is adjust the clutch pedal in the gti.
No work on s15 or on any other fun project.

It's work on the house.if only I had my z.

By the way what's with all the z for sale on the forum?
