Alrighty.  So I need to know how early people can leave for Thredbo?  Simon I believe cant leave untill 4pm.  The reason being, the Vic guys + the 350Z are gonna be hitting the Alpine way around 3pm and they will be doing most of their footage and photos during this section and I for one would like to get some footage of my freshly sprayed zed with and around the others.  I realise there will be more chances later, but the 350Z guys are leaving on Saturday arvo, so not much time, especially if we do the Kosciosko walk on Saturday..
anyhow, let me know.

I won't be able to leave (as will Alex & Shelly) until 5:30pm on the Friday. However, I might be able to sweet-talk the boss into getting an early mark!

ok, would that mean Alex and Shelley would be coming at the same time?
The vic guys and gals will be hiting it around 2pm now, with about half an hour of driving, though it may take an hour with the filming etc, a good oportunity to get your car in footage etc

Scott,
My leave has been approved, so I have the day off next Friday.  So I’m very keen to go to Khancoban to catch up with the Vic guys….unless the fires beat us too it (fingers crossed this disaster will be over soon).

And after a days drive, that beer at Thredbo will look the so much better!  ;)

I like it, works for me.  I have to say, I was confident but not so now that my car will be ready.  I know the first coat has been put on, but I dont know if they will all be on and ready for me to pick up and put it back together (not a lot of assembly).  I am just hoping, its all i can do.  If it falls through, would anyone have a seat I can jump in if I cant find a fun car to bring?  THIS SUCKS!!!  Ill still come even if im in the Landcruiser.

Ahhh Scottie sound like you might be running out of time.    :-[
Rhino 73Z Are you able to edit out your route and just send it to your guys direct? I was trying to keep that stuff off the website. I am worried some authorities might start tracking our route and give us some nasty surprises. Not that I fore see anything silly happenning but better to be safe than sorry.
Cheers

The good thing is that after this, there is nothing left to do that would take longer than 2 days. :D  I might be getting a mortgage soon, so Tassie is a maybe.

I'm planning to arrive 8:30ish on Friday night - any idea where you guys will be around then? I guess we'll book in at the hotel and then meet up either at the restaurant or the bistro? Chris I might give you a buzz when we arrive if that's okay?

Well, the my Z wont be ready till Saturday and even then, still needs about 12 hours spent on it to have it drivable, so my plan is to head to a friends place near Jindabyne on Thursday with the Landcruiser and a car trailer, spend the night there and on friday meet you guys in Cooma and if its cool with someone get a lift up (ill help pay for fuel of course).  Then return to Cooma, then pick up the datto on the monday or tuesday and trailer it back from there.
So any kind peoples happy to give me a lift, ill drive the cruiser if I have to?
