Azon
Found a 240Z shell with no motor in it and was told that, being an early Z, it doest have any sort of identification plate. MY question is: is it possible to register this car in Victoria?
Zeddophile
It may not have a plate (sounds suspicious to me already) but it should definitely have a vin number engraved in the firewall just above the brake booster. If it doesn't, start running, and don't look back.
zr240
it should still hav the vin no stamped on the firewall just above the brake master cylinder so you should be able to get it rego with that no. if it is an aussie car. you are best to speek to vic roads to get all the info. Mr Camouflage
It would have had a compliance plate and a id tag, but over the years, for various reasons they get removed and lost. Would be interesting to see how early it really is. Post the chassis number when you look at it next, and I'll give you a rough guess as to what month/year it is. JP240z
I also had a similiar problem with my 240, I investigated through VicRoads and discovered that it could be registered fairly easily without ID/Compliance plate by obtaining a stat. dec from previous owner/s. But recently found the plate in one of the many boxes of spares. Cheers, Jack.
