Vindicare
AZC is making their own kit, should be available one day lol
yellazed
Too bad this came to an abrupt end. I'm finally getting around to fitting the Wilwoods and don't want to have to fabricate mounting brackets. AZC don't have anything listed. Anyone out there have a kit they don't need??? Vindicare
Shoot Dave at AZC a email, I haven't spoken to him in a few weeks but they surely are ready to go by now.
Z Fire
After calling or e-mailing Dave once a month for a year, I have given up with AZC. Can we get this alternative going again??

Vindicare
It's not about the contact, he jsut hasn't finished the kit, which is surprising considering the amount of people interested. I'd really like it
nat0_240_chevZ
send me details, ill get them laers cut, bent, welded, tapped or whatever..... making my own but to suit lighter calipers.....
Woza01
send me details, ill get them laser cut, bent, welded, tapped or whatever..... making my own but to suit lighter calipers..... Send you details ? about my kit or the AZC kit ?....The wilwood spot calipers are VERY light, but unfortunately require constant adjustment, because the pads are only around the size of a 20c piece, so the effectiveness of them relies on constant adjustment. Also forget about replying on the handbrake on really steep slopes....unless you increase the fulcrum on the handbrake lever to get more mechanical advantage ! I have around 8 sets of brackets already cut - left over from the first three batches i did way back then....I simply don't have the time to invest in making the kits available, and certainly not for the $40 profit i was making lol - not that it was every about the money though. If anybody wants a set of cut brackets, then you can have them for $50 plus postage, but you will still need to do all the machining & drilling/tapping, then bend up the cable bracket accurately & weld it, then get the cable made up, which is the most expensive part of the whole kit.... Anyway, I'm sure I've probably put you off, but I'm happy to send you over some raw bracket plates.... Woza
Z Fire
Hello Warren, Do you still have some of these brackets laying around. I would be interested is a set. Thanks Theo from Chesterfield, Virginia / USA
Woza01
Sorry mate, All brackets are gone. Im happy to email you a .dxf file, and the necessary Drawings to produce a set of your own, however it would probably be a better idea for you to wait untill Dave at AZC finally releases his own S30 Handbrake kit... Cheers Woza01
dat240z
Any idea of when dave will release the set?

dat240z
This is on their website http://www.arizonazcar.com/parkingcaliper.html Thats been up there for years mate. When I ordered to wilwoods and coilovers from dave i asked about it. He said he has developed one as a prototype (one pictured in link) but is not willing to put it out to pulbic orders as he is unhappy with its performance and doesnt want to tarnish his name. I did woz's kit and its good. needs a little adjustment every so often but thats ok
74zzz
just sent an email for a quote for the rear set up plus the handbrake......how long ago did you get your set up? was hoping it was in production dammit.......
dat240z
I ordered off Dave in July last year. Got the 4 pots all round + big discs. Also got the adjustabes coilovers with caster adjust for 3300 delivered to my door.
74zzz
Am on the edge of buying the rear conversion and the only thing holding me back is the park brake problem. I am not handy with fabrication so not something i can rig myself. Any info i can get on park brake set upswould be brilliant. Spoke to dave from azc today so need some options asap. What solution are out there?
dat240z
Woz developed a good, legal solution for the handbrake problemt. PM him to find out the details and drawings
Johnboy
I like the idea of the attached. http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=562_588&products_id=11370&osCsid=3kn9eg34js0rm11j4977huf6o0 Thereis a link to one that was used but I can't find it a he moment. PeterAllen
Rally handbrakes tend to be hydraulic which are illegal in Oz - and elsewhere I assume. Wosa's bracket wouldn't be cheap to have made but really that's the easy bit... the cables are the hard part. There are alternative tail-shaft brakes designs and it might also be worth your while to see what hot-rodders use.
Johnboy
This was a mechanical one, found a different post with some pics. And an interesting read but not sure about in now... http://nissanroadracing.com/showthread.php?t=2892&page=6 John
dat240z
Yeah hydraulic while cool, is definatley a no go in Oz. Wozs Kit cost me: $50 new rear brake bracket for wilwood caliper and spot park brake (from him - left over batch) $200ish to machine/anodize bracket (machined 10mm deep in areas to suit) $300 Handbrake cable from automotive specialist in melb (he has all drawing for it) $200 spot calipers to suit 0.81 rear rotor thickness (L+R) Easy to fit, minimun labour. The power of the parkbrake isnt fantastic but my setup has just gone through engineering no props... As for the wilwoods, they are insane
Woza01
Hi All, I have for sale a complete set of my AZC Kit (1st Design)......2 Spot Calipers, 2 brackets, and handbrake cable. All yours for $150. Its used obviously. I have also redesigned the setup using Wilwoods New MC4 Caliper. I have just done a production round of those as well...no interest from this forum, but sold plenty to the USA, Canada & Germany recently. I have for sale, the prototype kit ...which includes 2 MC4 calipers, custom Handbrake cable & 2 brackets. yours for $300. Being the prototype, there a few mods i had to do to test the system out, but they are minor and arent noticeable..happy to explain if anyone is interested. Note...you'll pay around $300 alone just for the calipers ! Im happy to do another full batch run, but will need around 8-10 peeps. Cheers Woza
