For anyone (un)lucky enough to be stuck behind a desk all day but likes listening to music, this might be the site for you: www.last.fm

It's basically like 'Pandora' before it went all Emo & stopped all non-US based IP address accessing it...
Simply type in your favourite band & it will play streaming songs from that genre' of music.
I reckon it's great & is throwing up some interesting results...

what's more you can have last fm groups so you could make a group call it auszcar and then all auszcar members can subscribe to the group and listen to everyones music tastes...

Problem. I like american gangsta rap/ thrash metal/  death metal and Trance so perhaps not me . Would be quite an idea to hear other peoples likes and dislikes though.

Modular, I haven’t heard it but my bro says it's the goods... :)
I get into the Hoods, Muff n Plutonic, Urthboy, A Tribe is Forming etc etc...

I also like 'G-punk' bands like (həd) p.e. etc, & Progressive Rock/Metal bands like Tool/APC right through to Disturbed, Mudvayne & Rob/White Zombie ;D

Here in Darwin the only thing I can get on the 240Z original AM radio is ABC Radio National and they hardly ever play music, normally just a bunch of intelectuals blabbering on. Lucky I have the noisy diff/rear wheel bearings to listen to.

Peter

lurch you've got me addicted to last FM. its such a good site, i just typed in 'justice' and it ripping through the french electro. I'll try it later with some aussie hard rock. Hopefully it doesn't suck up my bandwidth allowance too much!

Lets see:

David Bowie
The Wallflowers
Queen
Muse
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Grinspoon
The Vines
Duran Duran
Collective Soul
The Tea Party
Audioslave
Chris Cornell - Solo stuff
ACDC
Crowded House
Oasis
Pink Floyd
The Verve
Thin Lizzy

and a few other tunes, but probably a huge dose of David Bowie, he's a huge influence for me. Especially since I picked up a guitar.
