yeah i'm liking the dark green on my car, would like it to be darker still but i'll see what happens when its time for a respray as i like the mazda 6 blue also...

one of my mates uncles just restored a 240z and sprayed it that ford orange colour thats on the BA's and he says it looks mad, and it is a nice colour but i havn't seen it yet...i think the lambo orange colour would be interesting but it might make it look cheap and ricey because its so sparkly

Colour is a personal choice. Its like asking someone what the best type of music to listen to. You are going to get lots of different answers, none of them are right or wrong, just different peoples opinoins.

The best thing you can do is look at a picture gallery of lots of zeds of different colours and see what appeals to you.

Heres some:

and

I dont like Light Metallic Gray is on a Z, but Dark Gunmetal Metalic Gray is awesome. like this one:

I've wondered what those colour changing paints would look like on a Z. I know a guy with a Supra that has that paint and it looks ok. People cant help but look at it when it drives by, as the paint changes from green/purple and gold depending on the angle. (Cheaper paints only chage 2 colours and dont look as good).

But I did see a MGB painted with similar paint (was the cheaper 2 colour paint), and its looked really crap. I dont think that style of paint suits an older car like a 240 or 260, but its got the right curves so it might be able to pull it off. Would be interesting to see though.

old thread but stilla worthy topic...

i still havn;t decided my color yet and with around 3-4 days to choose it, its coming down to either pewter,... which is a gunmetal grey/silver... or basically a chilli red... both look great...

I love white as well, and id love to paint mine white... but for some reason i feel its a little bland... and you can't see the lines as much.... but id love to see a white one that has pearl paint thou it... would look really nice...

I dont know how accurate this is it was sourced from Wick Humble: How to restore your Datsun Z car. Also these numbers may not match up with current paint suppliers but hopefully it can give you a base idea and maybe some inspiration for a choice of colour
