Looks like a stanza or 200B steering wheel  Any way its a shame as it spoils the car would be first thing a change on it

I owned a Sunny years ago with the same steering wheel as well.  Must have been in a few dattos of that era (mine was a 79 from memory)

"1976 260z (2 seater) $35,000

Recently resprayed. Extensive bodywork done to eradicate rust. Manual Transmission conversion.
Recently installed exhaust extractors. In running condition.
Due to financial reasons I am no longer able to maintain and fully restore.
Always garaged. Regretful sale. Car exterior is in tip top condition however interior needs work.
Outstanding work to complete:
New parts required.
Rubber kit Carpet kit required.

Parts required to be reinstalled.
Air intake Interior plastic vinyl trimmings including centre console.
Driver and passenger door trimming
Rear bumperbar

Parts to be fixed
Locking mechanism for Driver and Passenger door and hatch.

Few nuts and bolts missing here and there.

For someone whose mechanically minded all of the above mentions aren't really that complex to fix. Its just a matter of patients and time."

Pretty sure GRS30's started with GRS30 000003 (Oct 1973).

Early 2+2's had the ID plate under the inspection lamp.

Then in 1974 (September onwards) it was moved to the carburetor side on it's own plate just in front on the inspection flap.

Ah yeah, I never noticed that.
I looked at GRS30-000667 (07/74) 2 years ago and the compliance plate was in that spot, and I believe the ID plate was there, but well faded, where the inspection light should be.

I own 11162 (07/76), and that has both plates on the carbie/battery side, inspection light has also moved over there

1973 DATSUN 240Z (LHD)

Negotiable - All offers over $30K will be considered

Bentleigh, Victoria

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bentleigh/cars-vans-utes/1973-datsun-240z/1187414487

"Here for sale we have a 1973 Datsun 240Z. This car has a real following and does not need an introduction. These cars are becoming quite scarce and you won’t find a cheaper 240Z, especially in this condition!

This car is a genuine Californian car. It has the original Californian number plate, purchase documents, owners manual, warranty manual, service manual and receipts from work carried out back from 1973 and all importation documentation.

It starts first time, every time and does not blow smoke. However it does need some tender love and care. Car is sold as is. With a bit of attention this car will come up a real treat and worth a lot more! Truely a collectible piece.

I also have a few spare parts such as front splitter, wheel arch flares and steering rack for RHS conversion, quarter panel and other bits and pieces that I am willing to sell separately."

Hi Gav bit too much rust for me already working on my son's 260z 2 seater  downstairs which is on a rotisserie and haven't really got the space for a big project of rust although im trying to leave the wreck at the inlaws (that will be interesting!)

. I have noticed a few other vehicles coming up one was sold this morning over it to Lakemba it was only on for 2 hours haha and gone! I've also been in touch with Warren at all Z parts who's got a couple of vehicles that I'm waiting to look at also.

That is indeed a very tidy late 280ZX been a while since I have seen one that tidy.

Like all Z’s these have appreciated quite well in the last few years, and in my opinion will continue to appreciate.

They are a nice car to drive, not as raw as a 240 or 260 but with a little work would make a great “GT” car, Air, Steer and lots of little luxuries.

Cheers

PB

Hi guys a bit of an idea of value on this 240Z if you can.

its a 73,

One owner with all receipts

Been repainted years ago with few spots peeling but no rust anywhere.

Very straight apart from dents in doors from where people have opened doors onto it.

Interoir totally original down to the radio but dash has two cracks.

Motor needs new rings.

120k original miles.

cheers,

Justin
