What differentiates Series 1 to 2 ? Mine is serial number 000692.

AND, can you do me a big favour and post a (good) photo of your VIN plate. I am looking for a good one to copy (not the number of course !)

in comparing with my parts car (77 model) it has a lot of changes like for one yesterday we were doing repairs to the door sill and cut a bit of the 77 only to find that its diffeent on my model(no rubber door stop or provision for one) i think once they introduced emisions they changed alot of things,

i originally found an article about this ages ago ill try digg it up..

sure ill take a photo for you... pm me your email??

thats awsome. i wish my old man was around helping me with mine. but unfortunately wasnt the case.

but he has left me with the knowledge to do it by myself. he always wanted to restore an old car.so i made it my priority to do so when he passed away. now i got 2 other ones to do.because its my dream now.

something about Z that i actualy like. i actualy enjoy working on them as much as driving. 260z near completion and allready cant wait to start on the 240z.

good luck with the car. looking forwad to updates. reminds me where i was 3 years ago. itching to do all over again.
