G'day guys, came across this kit when i was scouring through US ebay. Just want to know if someone has used them. I know cheap isnt always best but i gotta really tight budget :D Prices are on the website and shipping is $188.50 by USPS (as quoted by them)

I think these kits are a little dodge as the way the threaded section is held onto the sturt is not very safe. Would be interested to see a set on a car to seee how good the stay in place.

Could be being over cautious but I thought the only safe way is to weld the threadded part on not use grub screws:)

I agree with Ash.
Real safety issue with the Alum. threaded collars...

I understand how the grub screws would be a problem but i dont understand why the T6061 aluminium would be an issue.

I reckon that would cost $30-$40 to post. I get tired of getting overcharged for shipping, they charge you an arm and a leg then you get the package and the sticker shows what they paid.

Anyway enough ranting, I'm about to order a set of ground control coilovers fron Techno Toy-$399, shipping under $40 ;D

Sach, I guess it's just the 'Metal Worker' in me :P I don't like the idea of an Alum. sleeve on a steel strut ;D
I'm sure the Alum. if more then up to the task, but having it secured with grub screws... eeek!

IMHO, welding on a ring for the sleeve to sit on would be preferable.
