theremm
Pair of 15 x 8 -0 offset genuine R type Watanabes for sale. Purchased these some time ago however my intentions have since changed and am now looking for a set of TOPY steel wheels instead (if anyone has a set i'd be interested to swap!). These are used wheels however in very good condition overall with no denting in the lips at all. As these have been sitting for a couple years I have noticed there is some slight discolouration in a few spots, particularly around the hub/spokes (see pics) which was not there at the time of purchase. I would expect this should come out easily enough with a light clean. I imported these from Japan through Jesse Streeter. Second hand pairs come up reasonably frequently on yahoo auctions. Price $850, preference given to local pickup. Located Spring Hill, Brisbane. 24OUNZ and gav240z

Gav, Do you think these would fit without touching the inner guard on the rear ?

Administrators gav240z Posted October 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted October 11, 2017 Gav, Do you think these would fit without touching the inner guard on the rear ? I suspect it comes down to tyre size.
Cozza
I run 225/45/15's Nitto semi slicks on15x8 +4 wheels as track tyres. Guards are standard. They clear the strut no problem but sometimes scrub the wheel arch a little bit if I drive home from the track with them on and hit typical Sydney potholes. Nothing serious though. I run King low springs all round on standard struts and Tokico Illumina shocks. I'd imagine if your car was lower or had softer shocks you would notice more scrubbing. Administrators gav240z Posted October 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted October 11, 2017 +4 offset though, do you think 0 offset would make a difference? *Edit positive offset might actually help reduce wheel scrub I'd imagine?
mossy
Hi Mossy, You don't have a photo of how they sit ? Cheers, Aaron First pic is when I had 16x8's, second and third pic is with the 15x8's. What size tyres Mark? Also are you running stock suspension / struts etc..? Ever had rubbing problems on guards? 225/50 front and rear. I do have coilovers and rolled rear guards but looking at them now I'm not sure they really needed to be rolled. I've never had any rubbing issues with the 15x8 watanabes or when I had the 16x8 watanabes with 225/45 tyres. Cozza
+4 offset though, do you think 0 offset would make a difference? *Edit positive offset might actually help reduce wheel scrub I'd imagine? With my current setup, 0 offset would obviously scrub more but, with some stiffer springs prolly wouldn't be an issue. I need some stiffer springs to stop my door handles scraping anyway. 200lb/in is good for a road car but not enough for track work.
