Hi All,

For sale is the engine package that came in my somewhat recently acquired 240z.
Some of you may be familiar with the car and/or it's old owner.

The engine is not in running condition, I have never seen it run, nor have I investigated the damage myself.
Much of this information has been taken from the vehicles sale thread.
The engine has been sitting for 10+ years. I bore scoped it upon removal and found no signs of corrosion in the the bores.
It has been sitting with the manifolds detached for a few months now, so I will re-inspect when prompted by prospective buyers, and attempt to provide evidence (assuming I can take a good photo of the bore scope screen)

All items located Belconnen Region, Canberra, ACT.

L28:  $350 - SOLD
The BAD: Supposedly has damaged big end and main bearings due to loss of oil pressure, in which case I would assume the crank is also damaged. Apparently also has an L20B oil pump fitted.
The GOOD:
F54 Block, P90 Head

Compression: 7.4:1 suggests factory turbo bottom end. Nissan cam cover.
Cam: Crow #58643 Intake: 212 deg 0.075" dur, 0.480" lift, Exhaust: 210 deg 0.075" dur, 0.495" lift
Standard piston, rods, crank.
Balancer: Custom Chris Wood built using BMW Inline 6 balancer.

EFI: SOLD  Pics can be found here: https://drive.google...mJuMlM4MDV1d2c along with a short video showing the ecu is working

Autronic SMC v1.99-2 ECU (supposedly tuned to 19psi with the GT35R listed below)
460cc N/A S5 RX7 injectors - SOLD
Bosch adjustable rising rate fuel pressure reg
Scorcher custom hall-effect distributor
Bosch 716HEC ignition coil
Bosch ignition module
Standard 280zx EFI intake manifold with XF Falcon throttle body and adaptor SOLD
Engine wiring harness

Hot Stuff:  $1000 - SOLD
Garrett GT35R turbo with 0.82 rear housing. Braided Oil, water and boost control lines.
Boost control solenoid with fittings
Huge Airfilter

ARE 520x300x90 bar and plate intercooler with 2.5inch Stainless piping and silicones

Custom Ian Rowlerson exhaust manifold. stainless, tigged, tuned length, split pulse collector, external wastegate flange
Sub-zero 55mm wastegate with 2.5" screamer pipe
Sump with turbo drain and oil temperature sensor bung

3" mandrel bent mild steel exhaust to the diff, take as much or as little of this as you like. New dump pipe flanges are easily available, I can also provide one if needed.

I can aid in transport to a freight depot, or to a local buyer if you are unable to pickup.

UPDATE:
I've made some discoveries today. Looks like there was a build up of corrosion material/debris? in the cooling system, but I could not see any damage in the block or water pump. I have included pictures of this (including a picture of the bore scope aimed at the water pump impeller.
I also found a small amount of rust in 2 of the cylinders that sat with a valve open in each. This has likely happened due to me removing the manifolds and as such appears recent, so I suspect it has not pitted the bores yet. And what appears to be a very small amount of oil in one of the cylinders. I was also able to turn the engine over by hand just by the balancer (no tools).
On the upside to all this, the intake ports appear to have been touched up. I could see no evidence of such work on the exhaust ports.

Pics of Hot Stuff can be found here:

Pics of the L28 including aforementioned bore scope images can be found here: https://drive.google...FE&usp=sharing

Are you willing to separate head and block? OR want it gone in 1 package?

I would prefer it gone in one package, but I will separate them if there is a buyer for the other as well.

EDIT: sorry GAV, I re-read your post and realised you did not specify which you were after

If you want the entire short block go for it, I only want the P90 head myself. But have no immediate method of collecting it from the ACT.

Man shame to see you decided to split this all up but good to see you finally worked out a price for it all. I was interested in buying the complete package a couple months back but you never got back to me.

Bump.
Minimal interest in the EFI setup, suspect this is due to Datsun era owners being afraid of anything more complex than lightbulbs and starter motors.
I'm opening up to parting out what remains. Already have a party chasing everything connected to the intake manifold.
Are there any interested parties for the ECU with complete ignition setup?

Can I make a friendly suggestion that insulting Datsun owners on a forum used by a community of Datsun owners is not going to increase your chances of a sale ?
