Fullnoisezed
Hi all, First of all I am the owner of Fullnoise Performance in Newcastle NSW. We are specialist in Old JDM conversion but also cover all performance upgrades etc. I have had a dream to build a 260z with the full gtr running gear 4wd etc but have since change the plans a little to accommodate the workshops work load (not much free time for R&D) The Plan Low, load and fat to get the attention for the workshop at local car shows and on the street. I have just found and bought the shell. mainly rust free and very straight but has had some fiberglass widebody connected to the rear guards. (so much bog) it came with some very good condition parts like the dash front guard and bonnet. The body style will be low with wide wheels aggressive offset and basic flares. painted Satin Silver (not 100% sure on the colour yet) but maintain the standard body style. The engine is what this is all about. Using the RB26 Head on a RB30 Block. Fullnoise are a Nitto Reseller and plan to use the 3.4 Stoker Kit with custom hi-comp Pistons. keeping the standard rb26 throttle bodies with some trumpets off the side. I will get some pictures together and try keep this updated it all begins now. Edited April 15, 2016 by Fullnoisezed
d3c0y
Good luck with the build! You didn't happen to buy that blue 2+2 that's been for sale on car sales for ages with the big guards? Interested to see what you can get out of the engine combination. Benchmark is 360hp at the crank for 3.35L 2 valve L6. How long until the motor is bolted together? Dionysus
Look forward to all the pics.. Curious why you are going down the NA path rather than turbo. Edited April 15, 2016 by Dionysus
Fullnoisezed
Here are a few pictures. its a bit of a wreck. We chose to do NA as everyone has turbos and we what to do something different. personally Im excited about hearing the noise from the Engine setup, and got some inspiration from Fuguz 240z. the Engine will be a little bit off. The Block is stripped and head is off getting port work rebuild. we havent determined to compression ratio or cam specs. gav240z

Administrators gav240z Posted April 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 15, 2016 Just think, it's 1985. Warm summers day and some bloke who's just finished having a couple of beers with a well combed mullet and handle bar mustache has stood back and looked at his work on those flares and said "Phoar, I reckon that looks alright". At least it hasn't got a sunroof andyk_79 and Fullnoisezed

d3c0y
I think we should get close to 400HP That will be an impressive engine, the Greddy car only managed 220rwhp on a US dyno...
24TZ
That will be an impressive engine, the Greddy car only managed 220rwhp on a US dyno... Yeah that motor was a big disappointment hahaha
260DET
Looking at the 'as is' pillarless pics there, lightbulb moment. The +2 has never appealed to me but a proper body mod to remove the bits between the front and rear windows would look pretty sensational. Don't know exactly how that would be done but hey, that's what pro's get the big bucks for

Fullnoisezed
That will be an impressive engine, the Greddy car only managed 220rwhp on a US dyno... I dont know what they have done, I tried to look up the engine details. I found they were going for 300whp somewhere. we have a much larger bottom end. 30% more displacement. Fullnoisezed
The Zed is now a bare shell. completely stripped. and rust repairs have started. so much bog in the rear end of this car. we decided to completely re wire the car too as everything was so old and unknown condition. heater box is out and in the bin. all the sound deadener has been removed. the only floor rust is in the rear drivers side seat. a little odd for the only bit of rust. I am after Wayne's contact or details if anyone knows them. the guy who makes the reproduction panels. both the rear lower 1/4 are pretty bad. d3c0y
There was a guy over on Hybridz grafting JZZ30 soarer suspension front and rear. Way better than either Z32 or S13.
260DET
Yeh, HybridZ is the place to go for all sorts of suspension changes, including S13.
