Zworx for Z parts

Recommended Posts

For second hand and selected new parts, I've always been happy with Zworx. Warren has looked after me there so in return I recommend him for all your second hand spares.

What engine work are you getting done?

If it's a simple rebuild I recommend Zworx but for some of the wilder stuff you will need specialists as Zworx isn't really set up with all the machining equipment.

I wouldn't bother emailing them as they do not use it in my experience, if you want advice/answers give them a call or drop in.

Rob is THE man when it comes to 240z/260z metal work

Hi Gav and fellow enthusiasts....

My engine is down there now with Warren the F54 Turbo block with the P90 head... I have purchased an N42 head which we have sent away to have the head reconditioned shaved and ported. I am raising compression from 8:65.1 to around 10 - 10:5.1. I'll fill u in on the rest in person when we meet..... Cya Phoenix..... or as u know me in www.240Z.org as Zorro.

i've never found them anything but reliable and honest and I have been dealing with them for a substantial period of time now.

furthermore, I believe it was rob who was a partner with Lindsay in Zshop initially, but a, unsure.

Last time I went there, Warren had taken over the reigns from Rob. And the place looked like a bomb had hit it! Very messy to say the least. Not that Rob ever kept it clean anyway.

Is it any better now?

Don't know if I'd leave my car there

And on a parting note:

I believe Warren did work for Z spares in the beginning, a long, long time ago

didn't say it was neat :-) still slightly chaotic there.

still pretty messy, but they have cleaned it up a lot, Wozza does own the place but he has been sick.

have left my car there numerous times, and all went well.

I called them today and spoke to a fella by the name of Justin. He told me Warren's outta there. Sounds like he's sold the business. I've heard the new fella also sells Valiant and Charger parts (Val Worx!?). Z parts suppliers are getting harder to find every year that goes by.

Just realised its a coincidence that both All z parts and Zworx have/had Warrens owning them.  Warren at All Z parts in Sydney is really good, very fast and usually reasonable prices.

It's a conspiricy I tells ya. :)

Yeah I haven't been down to Zworx in ages myself. Z Parts are getting harder and harder to find but there's always Ebay! :) Sometimes I wish I lived in American, then I wake up :P.

I believe Warren at Zworx has sol dthe place as there is a fella by  the naem of Justin answering the phones. I've been told he's also in to Valiants. I've called him twice for pricing on some parts spoke to him on both occasions and been advised he'll call back. He has'nt so in my books another Z supplier down the toilet!

So does anyone know what has happened to Z WorX.  Is it still a going concern or has it hit the wall through good Z work but incompetent management?  If it is a gonna then someone will have bought all their gear.  C'mon; the Z crowd is tight so someone will know where Warren - Justin is with the business.  If it's a gona then I will have to look for parts elsewhere. ::)

I went down there last night to check it out.

They new guy there, Justin, seems nice enough although the place looks more orientated towards valiants now.

He assured me he is still wrecking Z's though, and said he had a '75 2 seater coming in next week.

All the wrecked Z's are gone from the front yard now though, there are still a few parts and L motors inside though.

Rob is still working under the old name of "Z Restoration Factory" and is just over the road where Z worx is in a new factory that has been built (used to be that "Ancon Chemicals" place. He still is doing Z panel beating and metal work ....To me that Justin who has taken over doesnt know too much about zeds.. Rob does have a limited supply of parts still available...some. To me Rob is the only one I trust to do any body work on my 240!
