It's a great build, but doesn't interest me on the same level, the O.S Giken head is much more interesting because it's a cylinder head from that period. peter mc Posted October 1, 2015 Author Share Posted October 1, 2015 So first day back i had to know how well the os24b1 head flows stock and then with a good port to clean up a few problems. Well first time on the bench it was quite clear the port was very small .and went in to choke and stoped flowing at 350 thou lift but still flowing 376hp . Next i spent several hours doing the port and fixing the seat area. I have a big job ahead of me getting this head to flow the air i want .but its there.i have the x section to get it to rev to 9000 on the 3.4L just need the itb to be 55mm and the pipes to go with it . peter mc Posted October 7, 2015 Author Share Posted October 7, 2015 Lots getting done block prep work is well on the way . And ports are looking fantastic. Port flow is at 305 cfm through the intake.
