Hi Everyone!

Am from the eastern suburbs and was recently introduced to this forum by a fellow member as I wanted to get to know like minded Z car owners. Purchased the car from a family member who left it in a basement garage in the city for few years. Cleaned it up, got it repaired at a workshop, and registered it few months back. This is my first experience with a Z and it's been a great car to drive.

Brilliant colour!
This car was spotted, and mentioned on another car forum, with much comment about how it had been left unused for quite some time. ( P.F.)
One of the members of that forum went to the trouble of trying to locate the then wmer.

Not too knowledgable about the technicalities but it's a 2.8 EFI if not mistaken. its got an RB25 airflow meter for some reason but other than that it's pretty stock standard. Looks like it cannibalised parts from few other Z's for the interior I think.

When I first got the car it looked like someone tried to jack it. Ignition wiring was all over and parts were missing. Body is still in good condition with a slight crack at driver side. Took two tow trucks to get it out of the city car park on Lonsdale St. Only problem left now is the worn bushings, am considering getting them thru eBay.

Would be great to meet with other Z owners and cruise around. I could definitely learn more on the car as well. Any meetup's soon?

It looks like a 'Corsa' kit but there are so many pirated moulds it's hard to tell. Corsa were sold out of Melbourne around '99-'00 and I believe around a dozen kits (incl. a couple of spyders) were made but I'm not sure how many ever got to be fitted and registered. The chap who made them is still at the address but now does sign-writing and wrapping on boats as I understand it.

Mike has his Corsa project for sale here: http://www.viczcar.c...ic,15716.0.html

Hello and welcome to the forum and I know it's been said just a couple of times and I'm sure there will be more but it's a great color and a very good looking car.

I know some Z owners here are purists who may not appreciate this but I think your car looks fantastic and would love to see meet up  some time.
I have a 260 2+2 , I am very proud of and am not too far away from you in Wantirna

There is 4 reasons I bought a zed:
1.going to Noosa hillclimb in 2002 an hearing them scream up the road
2. Seeing a modified 240z (spirit garage)  go around a race track.
3. Seeing one used in 1st episode of criminal minds in 2005
4. Falling in love with the 250 gto when I was 10.

Love the replica

Thanks, Gav. I'll definitely contact him.

Yup that's the car previously. Had few bits stolen, driver door damaged as forced open, and ignition wiring ripped up as someone tried to jack it. Took two tow trucks to get it out but all worth it.

Looking at the Yarra Glen photos I couldn't see any rear reflectors on the GTO?

If you need them send me a PM and I'll let you know exactly which Jag reflectors look the part.
