With sadness I have to unfortunately post the sudden passing of Warwick District Sporting Car Club President Bill Campbell yesterday morning in Warwick.

Bill undoubtedly was the driving force in the development of Morgan Park Raceway over many years, along with his family and all the hard working volunteers from the WDSCC have made Morgan Park one of the finest race tracks in the nation and making the Race track one of the busiest in Australia.

I am sure, all those who have had anything to do with Bill and Morgan Park over the years  will be as shocked as i am.

Bill was a great guy and loved all things motorsport and my condolences go out to the Campbell family, friends and members of WDSCC his loss will be greatly missed.

I will post funeral arrangements when known

Wasn't that old, was a wirey nuggety very active bloke.
Mention of a cerebral artery blockage, very sudden.
To see what Morgan Park was like when I first ran there in 2000 and to see what Bill and the crew from WDSCC have built it up to now in 2015, s a testament to the can do spirit of of these guys.

Should rename Morgan Park, The Bill Campbell Raceway.... Or at least some part of the track.

That's a good idea Chris and will probably be done I guess. Brain aneurism I heard was the cause, can happen to anyone but what a shame, he did so much for the community. RIP Bill  :(
