Retro Z
Hi guys got a set of triple dellortos on a redline manifold. The current linkages seem to work well, but are very untidy with some surface rust and only 1 rod arm opposed to the usual 3. So instead of pulling apart and plating etc i am looking for a new linkage kit. What's a good linkage kit to get? I don't mind if its expensive as long as it is high quality and looks good. Let me know your suggestions on where and what to get. Thanks
Cozza
I'm happy with my kit from Pierce Manifolds. http://www.piercemanifolds.com/product_p/pm3701-l.htm
luvemfast
I've used parts from "EFI hardware" Pretty happy with it.
Retro Z
Thanks Cozza. Looks heaps better than what i have. Has it held tune over time? Here's mine although it looks ok, it could look much better.
Cozza
I've had them on for less than a year and had my carbs off a couple times since a o probably can't comment But I will say they are very good quality and have no play, the shaft is 3/8" so less likely to deflect than the more common 5/16" shaft. I don't imagine they will fall out of tune. Cheers Mick

Remember i am new to the 'carb' world. I'll wait for my Dellorto book to get here before i attempt to peice something together. I prefer if there was a kit to buy that someone has used on dellortos and know will work. Research continues. Ive seen pics floating around of these really chunky nice looking linkages but cannot find a person who sells them.

chris240
On my tripples, my carb guys eliminated all the linkages along the firewall, and the rose joints, and did a neat cable conversion where the cable runs thru a central bracket on the middle of the rocker.. The guys at dyno tune canberra have done this on all the race zeds they have prepped, Lurch saw it a few years back and commented on how simple and neat it was.. If it wasnt so cold outside Id take a pic .
Retro Z
Sounds tempting. If you can get a pic (when you can) that would be great. I am trying to eliminate clutter in my engine bay so this cable setup sounds good.
chris240
The bracket is fixed onto the manifold not the rocker...my memory is getting worse. 3rd pic shows peno thru the firewall and the redundant linkage bracket..
