Arnold Mendoza
Hi Gareth, Is this still available? Thanks!
Riceburner
Yes, still for sale. Originally I wasn't keen to ship it as I have no control on the condition it arrives in, but I'll give it a go. As far as protecting it to ship I had thought about bubble wrapping it and then putting it in some 100mm or so PVC tube. Sure that would keep it safe? 24TZ
That's a great idea mate, I'm thinking of getting a crank shipped aswell and that's perfect way to send it. Cheers and good luck with your sale
Administrators gav240z Posted October 22, 2014 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2014 Or go to Bunnings and get off cuts of chip board cut to the size and shape of the crank and then use nails to create a small box for it. Shouldn't be very expensive and that was how mine was shipped with bubble wrap for added protection.
Moderators PB260Z Posted October 22, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 22, 2014 PVC tube would work well - and for packing use expanding foam, if the crank is dirty, oily or greasy wrap in plastic before adding the foam. The foam will stop it moving around and can be dissolved in petrol or similar leaving no residue. Cheers PB
Triptych
Did this ever sell?
Riceburner
No not yet. I was starting to think I'll keep it as a spare, or at least until the other crank is finished in case anything goes wrong with it. PM if your interested, I can get a price to post it. Triptych
Alright. I might start putting some money aside just incase you decide to sell it in a month or 2. I have been trying to work out if I want to stroke my L28T as I have to do something about new pistons and rods anyway when I rebuild it so may as well go all out.
