I have noticed lateley alot of people advertising items for sale with no price.
How about we start a sticky in both for sale topics with requirements of adds.
ie:
price
location
condition
Just a few to get started?
maybe set a template to fill out when a topic is raised in these threads?

cheers Doug

We do have a sticky with rules here:
http://www.viczcar.c...pic,1449.0.html

But it only shows up in the Cars for Sale section (not parts for sale section).

But most people don't follow it, we could delete their posts until they post properly, but unlike a lot of other forums a lot of the fellas who want to post here are not IT literate and struggle to figure it all out, especially the posting of photos etc...

@George - wIth regard to the for sale etiquette - yes it's a bit annoying. I do think it's polite to say PM sent so that others know who is ahead of them. I missed out on a P90 head and I thought I was first inline but again difficult to enforce.

George, no matter what system is in place, if someone has a problem with you, even if you were the first, they still won't sell to you. Its all up to the seller. That's why I think eBay sometimes can solve that issue, but the item for sale is open to the rest of the country to purchase.

I recently posted a for sale ad and followed the rules and I got flamed. I like the banter on the site, but I offer something for sale to the community in good faith, expecting it not to be flamed unless it is in someway dodgy or misleading or a rip off.

I agree a price should be posted. And that the seller can sell to who they please.
