MattB
Hi, I'm new to the whole z car scene. But I a fairly experienced in car modifications with other makes. I've not long bought this 240z and I'm slowly adjusting it to meet my plan for it. Recently I fitted a set of watanabes and this has served to highlight the difference in ride height between front and rear. I'd like to lower the front a little, but I think it may already have lowered springs. Is there a way to tell what springs it may have? Could anyone measure theirs (from standard guard lip to wheel center ) so I can compare. I'm hoping it is just a case of getting the next lowest aftermarket spring to make it look right. Is there any other way to tell what is in there? Thanks!
d3c0y
They look about right for lowered king springs and they do look a little nose up with this setup. Either custom order some shorter front ones or cut a coil off? Are your springs yellow?
MattB
Yep they are yellow. I'm a bit hesitant to cut springs, even just a coil or two. Do kings do a "superlow" or similar as they do for some other makes?
d3c0y
To my knowledge they don't. It doesn't cost much to get a custom set made. Just make sure you don't run out of travel otherwise you will blow out your struts. The next step is coilovers obviously.
