I see kameari also offer selector rings for their 71b gearset. They state for a smoother less friction shifting. So do people use the 71b kameari sets or the 71c with double cone sycro inside their 71b casings?

Yup that's what mine is, except i run a 0.75 5th.

I'm pretty sure that you get the upgraded 71C parts regardless of what sort of box you order for.

Thanks all, for your responses. Sorry for the slow response but work and family commitments… you know the drift. James I'll PM you about this and other things. Jason, is there anything you don't know about old Datsuns? Amazing! Jason will give you a call during the week.  Cheers. Mike

I was going to say that Jason does not know much about really fast S30/S130's but don't want to give the poor bloke a heart attack  :P

What I try to contribute is a current view on various fast Z cars, not some out of date 'lost in the rules and 80's' opinion. Even where a Sc Z is concerned. What I saw of a certain Q Sc Z was not impressive at all, plenty of attention to detail lacking in a class where every little bit helps. As for an old two valve Falcon engine being the sole reason for fast laps ;D still can't get over that old fashioned ill informed view.
