You can still buy a 280zx master from the US on ebay, but it isn't cheap.  JB1419 is the part number for the Patrol 1" however you can get a patrol 15/16th aswell, but like the 1" it is fed from the side not the bottom.  I have a 15/16th, so, from this I have decided I will have my brake lines adjusted to suit being fed from the side and then I will be able to use either a 1" or 15/16th.
I will double check that the Patrol master 1" is still available asap, it was only a month or so ago.

Thanks
One problem i see is that  getting it from the US means the MC Bleed  Thingy is on the wrong side. There is also the Price $260 AUD plus the Freight . Lets say $300.00 all up.  Compared to $50.00 for a used one 280zx one and say $120.00 + to get a kit put in it.

Would be interested to hear from those who have had the 280zx taken out to 1".What kit did you use and how much did it cost?

I recently priced a new 280ZX 15/16 master cylinder for $207 at Better Brakes in Cheltenham (Melb). That's the same one I'm using with modified brakes and it works brilliantly + it bolts straight in with no mods!

I checked better brakes and they are NLA, has anyone bought one from the states before, the bleed on the other side isn't really a big issue is it?

I think that's BS because I just checked with them last week. Did you remember who you spoke to? I'll be going past tomorrow so I can ask again for you if you are willing to spend the $200 odd dollars..
I'm starting to think 15/16 MC's are getting rare now..time to start collecting them!

Has anyone managed to locate any. I believed that I had located 2 second hand but they don't have them anymore?

Yep. Got mine from the bloke wrecking the 2 280ZX's in QLD - $65.

It appears it's going to be easier to buy new ones...

I just purchased a set of S-12's and fitted them today. They cost $176 and they (the Wreckers) also have the the S-13 calipers for the same price.

I know of people who ran them with solids....they were careful never to let the pads get too worn...

Just saying is all...
